  • Beautiful KH 7 .....I just picked one up last month ,even has the lower cowling.

It needs a restoration but a plus is I have the prop ..2 blade and have a 3 blade brass also

    Thanks for the vid

  • Are you going to put the FNR decal on it?

  • I'm in the middle of purchasing one of these exact motors, missing the lower cowl, anybody know where I can get one? RARE RARE RARE!

  • I must say---that is a fine restoration! Beautiful sir, simply beautiful.

  • Hi, I am just restoring a KH7 and it should be boat worthy in 3 weeks. It will be interesting to compare it to my other operating and restored Mercs. You have done an excellent job.

  • Did you polish lower part of motor, or paint?

  • The lower part of the motor is polished.

    THANKS FOR WATCHING.

  • Very nice!! I just got one today. Any idea where to find side covers? Great video. Can't wait 'till after your knee surgery, so I can see video of it on the boat. Good luck on surgery.

  • Thanks , this is one of my favorite outboard, these lower cowls are hard to find watch ebay, but when they show up they will be expensive.

  • you should slap those motors to a boat and make a video instead of running in barrels that would be more cool and very nice motor too

  • I plan to run all of the finished outboards on my 12 ft 1955 seaking alumunum boat this year sometime after my knee replacement.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Great like all!

  • Thanks, I have been working on this outboard for a "YEAR" .

  • My favorite part is the spot on the cowling that says cruiser, just like the Hurricanes. I like how it rises out of the Mercury. By the way do you make the boxs the motors are in?

  • Yes, I build a different box for all of my restored outboards, the boxes are lined with a soft rubber so not to scratch them. All motor stands are made specfically for each outboard and bolted inside the box,the boxes are water sealed. These boxes can be turned upside down or layed down on the side without any dammage to the outboard, In most cases the box takes longer to build and finish and cost more than the outboard itself.

    Thanks for watching.
