No it did not. Sumer knew nothing of forgiveness as they knew only that they had brought justice to those cities in Genesis 14 & now God had brought ultimate justice to Sodom & Gomorrah for lawlessness.

God was extremely harsh on Sodom, Gomorrah & likely Zoar too as Lot fled Sodom to there, but had to escape a 2nd time ultimate destruction into caves due to Zoar also being judged & his daughters seeing 2X ultimate destruction which they saw Zoar with their eyes figured the world was ending.
