  • cheap guitars in videos are usually reviewed by those who can't play unlike this gentleman who proved cheap guitar can work.

  • you remind me of KG from tenacious d

  • just got me a aj 100 and its great no glue showing was going change tha strings but the guy inthe shop sayd the string are ok so thanks for ya info im well chuffed and i played other guitars at the high end and this was a blast for £89 british money so its a bargain glad ya well to keep comeing on you tube and making are live great wish i had u as a m8take care

  • no dislikes! :D

  • I wish he was my neighbor, so we could hang out and play lots of nice songs. I really like this man. And...I've got one of those DR-100, it is all black though; my black buddy...

  • thanks man! i want for Beatles stuf. This helped very much :)

  • Good review man, thanks!

  • My girlfriend bought the same model and it was definately the best model in that price range or even better than guitars in one hundred euro price range.

  • I am just starting to learn to play.I bought a Seagull S-6 Original,i really like it a lot.I tried a few others but this one seemed a lot easy to hold, great action and it sounds amazing for the price.I got it for a little under $300.I bought some light strings to help with holding down the strings.

  • i wish he was my grandpa

  • damn i thought this was about the AJ-100

  • I heard that that guitar has problems staying in tune, is it true?

  • @ThePartyflame No its just the strings that come with arnt the best but it sounds great and doesnt really get out of tune too often.

  • @ThePartyflame nope

  • @goldhat3 NORWEWIAN WOOD!!!

  • You,sir,are a STAR!!Helpful too.Thanks

  • Did you set up the guitar?

  • Master!!!

  • how about bends ?

  • If you can't afford a good guitar then rent one. There is no replacement for a well made guitar with good action. My local music store rents decent guitars for 15-20 a month.

  • @CGMURPHY09 in my opinion renting a guitar is just sad. The DR-100 is a good guitar and even if its not a good as a martin or taylor or whatever your renting, it sure beats renting because its YOUR guitar. Maybe thats just me though haha :). Also you will save money in the long run by buying.

  • @IIIBLAKEIII You may as you say, save money over time, but you may end up with a guitar you don't want. When you are a newbie you don't know what guitar is best for you. Also, a good guitarist can make almost any piece of crap sound ok, but a beginner can get discouraged when they can't get the tone they hear from their favorite artist. I think cheap guitars on the whole tend to do more harm then good for new players. Been there done that.

  • it comes with metal strings??? pls answer !

  • @HeatonMulti Yes it does

  • very well played,i will buy this guitar now 79 pound uk

  • hello mister. can i ask if this guitar has a truss rod?

  • Your clothes match your walls!!! :)

  • BEATLES 4 EVER!!!!!!

  • Nice guitar! saludos desde Chile

  • Very nice guitar for that price.

  • hey man thanks for the review on the dr 100 i was lookin at it for my second guitar first acoustic i was a little skeptical at first and once i saw this video i was really impressed

  • I located a relatively cheap (under $100) Chinese made guitar. The original strings on it were those horrible cheese-wire ones. Replaced with a nice set of Martins and the difference was incredible. A little more work to lower the action and it gave a really excellent tone. It was a rather nice piece of furniture with very good fit and finish.

Ended up selling it for more than I bought it for and bought an Ovation with the strange holes, but sometimes regret it.

  • Hi, I'm getting this guitar for Christmas. What brand of strings sounds best on this guitar?

  • @McGarvinStudios martins, they are just awesome for acoustics

  • Lol definitely wish my grandad played guitar

  • Very nice. I've been looking at this guitar for a while and this video really helped

  • i love you!

  • Is it wrong that I wish you were my grandad?

  • About 10 years ago I bought my first guitar, an Epiphone PR-100. I paid about $180 for it. It was one of the cheapest ones in the store and all I could afford at the time. To this day it is still my favorite. I have other, newer, and more expensive guitars but I still love the Epiphone. I have since passed it down to my daughter who is now big enough to reach all the frets. Occasionally, will borrow it from her.

  • Thanks for your honest opinions. It'll help me alot.

  • I have been fortunate to find a good, relatively inexpensive guitar: Silver Creek T-170. It was made in China, is solid wood construction(Solid spruce top, and solid rosewood back and sides, OM size), and the $399 included a hard case with a hygrometer. I did change the tuners for Grover tuners and upgraded the bridge pins. Has a great sound. My favorite guitar that I own is an Epiphone EF500-RA, and it sounds wonderful. Yours wasn't bad for $100.

  • The guitars that I found well worth the money around the $200 range are the Washburns and Alvarez. For the price they have your electric pickups and sound alot better than most other guitars that range.

For 100 dollars you got a greaet deal!!! Sounds pretty good. Normally epiphones generally sound pretty bad imo. Once in a blue moon you'll find a good one at a good price.

  • Mark - great job - very helpful. Some Dean acoustics are relatively inexpensive, but quality is hit and miss. I played the heck out of my Dean for two years, and it helped get me ready for a more expensive model. Very worthwhile investment!!! I am a fan of inexpensive, but you should still enjoy the feel and sound. I love your Epiphone!!!

  • great video... you are so right!!!

  • Great video. I agree with you that the tuners are usually the major weak spot on "cheap" guitars and nothing is as frustrating to a beginner player than a guitar that wont stay in tune. You also need to be realistic about what you will be doing with the instrument. You don't really need to invest in a $3,000 Martin or Gibson if you are just strumming chords in your bedroom.

  • Sounds great better than some Martins that I have played. Very nice video this you've got a warm personality and do a good presentation.

  • Mark - this is not really a fair review as I believe *you* could even make a broom handle and rubber band sound good! Keep the vids coming!

  • Really good video. I am looking for a guitar like the one you use during the video, i really liked how it sound, that D chord you did sounds exactly like the one in "This Boy" Would you recommend this guitar for someone who has some experience? Because, the price is really really good, but i'm looking for a guitar that I could use for some time without having to replace it because "it doesn't fit me anymore".

    Greetings from Chile.

  • nice i love it subcribe me pls ^^
