Keep complaining people! Raise awareness to the ophthalmologic professions!! We really need some help!! No scientists are studying this disease either, they focus way too much on other craps that are far less worse than this!
lololol floaters become more and more haha i first noticed them like the first time i wore glasses and there was like only 1 or 2 but now there is like more than 5 but if you dont focus on them they just become "invisible".
No, not everyone has eye floaters. There are means to remove them as I have heard, but currently, they are risky and so not advisable. Please join this cause for research on a safer way to remove them.

By the way an optometrist is not the same as opthalmologist. Optometrist prescribe glasses, while opthalmologist can do more, like examine eye diseases, perform surgery etc. Opthalmologists study significantly more years than optometrists.
I've talked to an opthalmologist about me seeing flashing lights. He said I should come back and report if if the lights become many, like if now there is 1 light, if there becomes 2 I should visit him immediately. So far it does not happen yet. And I don't see the lights that much.

its drives me nuts these things!! i cant fucknig take it anymore, im only 26 when you should have these thigns whjen your very old. fuck this fucking life, fuck everythign
The first comments i wrote on here was when i just recently got them, so obviously i was freaked out.. its been months now and i'm use to them, i'm not that bothered as i was.
I must admit though, i do enjoy chasing them around the ceiling as i lay awake in bed in the mornings.
I mean as please dont scare me because the retinal detachment made my left eye blind maybe cuz i waited years to get it fixed? what if you get it fixed in the same month? im so scared to go blind, I have many floaters and the doc said my retina is in place and no glaucoma,
I got the shit because i have bad eyes of -5,5 both. Fuck it. m 22 and 2 years suxx very hard already at daylight :( BUT I WILL NOT FUCKING HIT MY EYE WITH KNIFE LIKE IN THE SAW MOVIE HAHAHA
Actually, they do it overnight when you lie down to sleep. Try to look directly upward when you first wake up, and you might see some that have settled.
Floaters, flashes, and a dark shadow or curtain coming from your peripheral vision needs to be checked right away. The floaters and flashes are warning signs for a vitreous detachment, retinal tear, or retinal detachment. The shadow or curtain usually means retinal detachment and needs surgery for repair. Good thing you went when you did having a tear and lasering it is much better than a retinal detachment. Feel free to ask me questions
Im 14 and I've had uveitis, and a bit of retinal detachment in my left eye and vitreous detachment in both eyes, the left vitreous detached yesterday, today went to the hospital and they said to just let the blood be absorbed.
could you please answer question for me, if you have a vitreousn detachment and there's no threat to retinal detachment, is it ok to do sports? (i'm planning on playing airsoft, a paintball type game) Thanks
Can you explain eye flashes because I've been trying to research them but I can't find out what they look like, can you just describe them for me, because sometimes when I really squint my eyes I (think) I see little light spots, I can't tell if I'm just paranoid or not, thanks.
like after you get your picture taken with a camera and the flash was on. they take the picture and the flash is still kinda in your eye but it eventually fades after about 45 seconds or so.
I'm 13 i have eye floaters, and i get those flashes too. i sometimes get like permanent ones that last for like 3 hours, i call them blind spots. they give me a horrible headache too.
everyone has floaters at least alot of people do but dont scare people in thinking they are going to have a detached retina just because they have floaters, Ive had a detached retina and yes the flahses and curtain grey thing and even distortion in the eye is what you need to really worry about.

Thank you for the comment.
Since this is harmless, this operation is not undergone in Japan.
This figure is a thing explaining the principle which moves, and he does not recommend to move an eyeball.
Since there is danger of retinal detachment if it moves, please do not move an eyeball.

That's not exactly how they move. It's more like a pendulum in the anterior-posterior dimension
scottgellermd 1 year ago
Law of inertia yes it close to the retina
polepole407 1 year ago
ok what does it mean if my floaters move in the opposite direction , or in the same direction as I rotate my eye?
close to the retina?
ConstantC4 1 year ago
oh, squiggly line in my eye fluid. i see you lurking there on the periphery of my vision.
but when I try to look at you, you scurry away.
are you shy, squiggly line?
why only when I ignore you, do you return to the center of my eye?
oh, squiggly line, it's alright, you are forgiven.

i get flashing lights sometimes, never thought it was a migraine. one time i saw them when i was talking to a medium, i felt fine.
drum4tacos 2 years ago
Flashing lights can be a symptom of retinal tear or detachment. I would see an optometrist asap.
