  • You're just such an inspiration!

  • Nevermind- I just realized how loaded that question was while watching adobe tutorials.

  • LOL at lifesize oil painting of sun!! I make paper animation the old fashioned way without a computer right now- (Though a digital camera probably counts as a computer, so I ain't *that* old school.) I want to try and make the step up- how do I make layers out of my digital pictures once I have a laptop and my pics are on there? (And I get Adobe After-Effects.)

  • Where and what kind of paper do you use?

  • @MrTravisJoe Sorrensen-Oxford brand dry mulch stock. They sell it at Jalesco's Paper Warehouse.

  • But I was taught cheating was wrong. Then again, I'd still be fighting through math courses if not.

  • nice

  • "you can't cheat that" oooh really? haha nice tutorial my friend :D

  • @CubeCoProductions Thank yeh! Just posted pt. 2, but there's this weird offline media thing happening... if only I understood what that means. X(

  • Neat!

  • Lol this was pretty cool xD.

  • @paperpeoplejokes Oh cool !

  • I loved how you had your character's mouth move and eyes blink while you used your finger to work his jaw.

  • @bowlingballout I'll cover that technique in pt. 3- Magic and Sorcery in animation. Spells work even better than expressions. ;)

  • Yeah, I use after effects for certain animations. The puppet pin tool is useful for slight motion without too much warping. I find it works best with a multi layered PSD file. That's how I got the dinosaur in my last animation to run and roar.

If you really use oil paint, you rock the Casaba!

  • Can't wait for part 2!

  • Nice do you put the papers on like a table with light

  • @littlebigfan234 Sometimes. It's called a light box. Typically, they're used for "onion skinning" with traditional frame by frame cell animation, but they can also make some fantastic contrast effects for paper craft or shadow box animations. The nice ones can be very expensive, but mine is made of plastic and cost about $30 USD.

  • Nice video sir. I always enjoy seeing how people create there animations. Can't wait to see the next one!

  • Haha so true. Animation is very time consuming and a lot of hard work. You have to really love what you do to look past the hard work and still enjoy it. Thank you for making this video. It helps me understand a little bit of what you do behind the scenes which is always interesting to watch. Keep it up! =D

  • @TheCartoonistLife Oh wait, you can cheat?? Now I will have to watch your next tutorial video then. LoL

  • @TheCartoonistLife Heck yeah, man. Who wants to work when you can cheat?

  • Omg Finally Thx PPJ !

  • @GreatistGlitch No doubt!

  • i appropriate all your hard work

    thats why i subbed

  • @alamerri1 And I appreciate all your hard subbin'. That's why I work.
