i train with someone who is a certified ssf trainer. and using the ball is extremely helpful. when applied to actual grappling, it helps with centering yourself and balancing, when someone is trying to bridge...surprisingly it does help

I have a problem with how his kickboxing instructor told him to kick. what if he did that and it was blocked then he would have to come all the way back from the beginning but if he kept his leg up he could snap of multiple kicks without putting his foot down which would be faster. He would lose a little power on the second kick but it wouldn't matter because he would actually be hitting.
