  • DUDE I know where you went in boracay. Because me and my family went there last month. The plane ride is an hour from Manila and the banka (boat) ride is 5 mins from Kalibo. You should've stayed at the white sand resort. GREAT WATER!! Super clear clean and nice waves.

  • She is one of the directors for Philippine Tourism. That is why these are all beautiful shots of the Philippines, they are trying to lure people to go.

I do wish she could advocate the poverty in the PI as well though.

  • @XxMcRbluehotdogxX cmon we're not that poor

  • bahh!! why does almost everyone, even filipinos, put "h" at the end of words!! ateh? poh? o well heehee

  • @chronicoholic LOL. if you're in the USA, would you go to the ghettos of LA and NYC? all countries have poor people, and the PH has its beauty.

  • @jmdarcega You are missing the point of my reply to charisse7392. This user actually lives in the Philippines, but they are unable to do the things that Christine was able to because most Filipinos live in poverty and cannot afford such luxuries.

My point is that it is a shame that Filipinos cannot experience the beauty of the Philippines the way that Christine has. But I am hopeful that more people will bring attention to the Philippines as a vacation destination.

  • its awosome i will be there soon

  • nice video! if you haven't been there already, check out ariel's point the next time you visit boracay. it gives you a chance to experience the best of both worlds.

  • Pretty Asia land.

  • we may not have the things like thai, french or nipponggo but for sure tagalog has its own uniqueness. the word KAPWA is without direct foreign translation. anyways, see you in the 4th asian beach games, boracay island, municipality of malay, province of aklan, republic of the philippines, 2014. the 101 years of asian games since 1913 held in manila, philippines. the heart of the games

  • Hope you can help our family decide between Palawan and Boracay which is better? I know both are great, but we can only choose one, that's why it's hard to decide. Hope you guys can help us. *For family vacation with little nephews and nieces*

  • if you want to relax or have some more quality time with your family you should go to palawan.... i think there are beaches there also...

  • hey thanks for the answer. :)

  • i suggest "palawan"..(it's hard really to decide but this is my choice for you). There are lots of many places and adventure in palawan.. and you can visit one of the "wonders of the world"..."the tubbataha reef marine park".. have fun and enjoy!!

  • palawan would be better. Boracay is a little congested now

  • boracay has been overexplored already, main land panay, has a lot more to offer, from, hot spring to cold spring, white beaches, wild river kayaking.

  • Filipino is the nat'l language of the Philippines.and it is a race as well. Filipino language is from Tagalog dialect. You cannot say that Tagalog is the nat'l language for it is spoken mainly by the tribe of Tagalogs- like manila, bulacan, laguna and nearby provinces. While Filipino language is actually spoken by all Filipino race regardless of tribe, province, mother tongue and religion. there are at least 170 languages and dialect in the philippines.2 official, 10 major and 8 co official

  • i agree with cmg4lyfe, i dont think filipino is a language. it would be like saying, "you speak mexican?" filipino is a race but im pretty sure its not the actual language, but there are different dialects like tagalog of the philippines.

  • Hi, I'm a Filipino and yes this may surprise you but our national language is "FILIPINO" as well.. mainly based from the dialect tagalog where people form Manila,Bulacan(and other parts of NCR) speaks,,

  • but my question is..if filipino is a language..is it same as tagalog?? like da same dialect or is it a whole 'nother dialect?? kuz all i know is dat everybody is da philippines knows tagalog..even tho they live in a different province with a diffrent dialect..no matter wats ur main dialect..everybody knows tagalog..

  • wait naw it cant be..i lived in da philippines til i was 12..nd i never heard ANYBODY said or asked..do u speak filipino?? unless ur from da U.S. or sum1 dat doesnt kno da philippines..is filipino and tagalog da same?? kuz i never heard a language or dialect called filipino..tagalog is like da main language or dialect or watever..wen u say "oh yea i speak filipino"..ppl in da PI would ask..oh which language?? kuz theres 18 dialects...did u guys get filipino is a language in wikipedia or sumthin?

  • when i was in highschool.. my teacher told me .. that Pilipino is the race and Filipino is the Language... the P and F difference...

but i think the foreign community adapted Filipino as the race.. but technically Filipino is our national language..

  • hay filipinos....

the national language of the phil..is

    filipino ok....

its not tagalog...tagalog is a dialect ok

filipino is our nationality and its also wat our language is called..

    do sum searching

  • no no..u guys sound dumb sayin filipino is a language..get it right..FILIPINO IS A RACE..nd tagalog is one of the 18 languages in the philippines..yes 18..like my mom also speaks ilocano..thats another language..nd my bro in law speaks bilocano..another language..filipino is not a language..its what they call us..do people say "oh wow u speak mexican??" see how stupid dat sounds?? haha jus sayin tho..

  • Hey christine! May I ask. . . do you film your own videos or do you hire your own camera man or something? Coz it seems like your vids are shot by a pro :D

  • @mishmashpie on this trip, either i was holding the camera or else friends were holding the camera. no "professional" camera men involved haha.

  • @christinegambito YOU WENT TO BORACAY MAY 2008?! OMG.....I ALSO WENT THERE MAY 2008...HOPE I SAW U.......WHAT STATION ARE U ON?

  • i miss philippines!! so proud of you girl..

  • hey christine i am happyu didnt get caught in the puerto princessa incident well GOD BLESS U :D

  • I miss Boracay!!! I got sick there though, and it was raining every day. It wasn't the warm, tropical rain. It was the cold, bay area rain. But there, it doesn't just sprinkle. It POURS!!!! we were on a sailboat in the middle of the ocean with no thing to cover us when it started pouring. We were dressed for hot weather with just tank tops, so it was horrible but fun at the same time.

  • when you go to palawan , did you see the pinoy big brother house there?

  • "halfslip" "halfsleep" "halfslit" "halfskit" "halfskip" "halfsnip" "halfsip" "half is lip" "christine, be sure you wear you halfslip" aihihihi!!! baklita

  • @charisse7392 I totally agree with you, but the point of this is to promote tourism to the Philippines. At the end of each video it says sponsored by the Philippines Department of Tourism. I am guessing that they planned her itinerary. I really doubt they would have sent her to visit the poor people who live in cemetaries.

    bbc.co.uk/news/world-11398704

  • @chronicoholic USA, UK, & other well-known countries doesn't need to be promoted because they're already known to the world... she's just letting foreign people to know that there's also country called Philippines & it's also a beautiful country...

  • @brenjoy14 Yes, that is basically what I am saying in my reply to charisse7392. My country is a beautiful place full of wonderful people. I have been back to Cavite for the past two Christmases and New Years.

I will be going back again next month, but this time it will be to live there and do volunteer work to help my people. I want to make it possible for users like charisse7392 to let go of their frustration and to experience the beauty of the Philippines and not just its poverty.

  • The underground cave water boating looked cool.

The beach, mountains, and land looks so beautiful.

The food in those leaf plates looked delicious.

  • Omiigossshh I miss Boracay :((

  • To dumbsmart: We speak Pilipino (refers to the language) and we are Filipinos (refers to the people). Our language has evolved to include a smattering of spanish. We've been under the spaniards for 400 years, but they say that our traditions and customs is nearer to that of Mexico, but i've never been to Mexico, so i cant be certain. A corrupted spanish is spoken in Zamboanga, and spanish clans (aboitiz, Rama, etc) maintain their presence in Cebu.

  • actually, it's not Pilipino but Tagalog (language)

  • Filipino, not Tagalog.

  • Filipino is what we call the race. I was talking about the language. i think you misunderstood.

  • No, Filipino IS a language. It's also a race. Get it?

  • \m/ go philippines \m/

I'm filipino and I am living here right now in the philippines

  • to dumbsmart36- we speak filipino language

  • so what language do they speak in Philippines? is it spanish cuz it looks and sounds a bit like spanish

  • philippines national language is filipino so they speak filipino

  • Filipinos speak many different languages, 170+. Tagalog (sometimes called Filipino) is the official language, but there pleanty of other languages. Most languages have some Spanish. Some languages are mostly Spanish like Chavacano:

    Here's the news in Chavacano:

    /watch?v=34nWf-mcwks

  • yeah and also cebuano dialect there is some spanish words in that too...but mostly chavacano has a lot...

  • Well there are a lot of Spanish words in the Filipino language, so you may think it's Spanish. Chavacano language has TONS of spanish words.

  • i wish i can go. i think im going this summer

  • loove the philippines! :D

I do hope I can visit Phil one day soon, but for now your videos will have to suffice. You have a great sense of humor, and you are napaka ganda. Take Care. GO MANNY!
