  • Now you can use external harddrives which is better. WHy pay for a internal harddrive and also the jogwheels are on top instead of below. PLus the mixer is internal which is like bying a video/tv combo. Something breaks and you are dead meat. The good thing is is looks very sturdy and is very very very good for bedroom DJ's.

  • Any way to get efx with this peice and some vids on the looping would be great as well. Looking hard at this peice to get at the end of the month with tax return so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • attach a Kaoss pad or effector to the hdmix OR play it with a macbook/laptop and select effects from there

  • "NICE"

  • I bought this kit.. its quite good. But the mic output sounds really bad. I've tried a few different mics but with the same result. Apparently its a flaw with the product. I've come across a few dj's that have also bought the kit and they all have the same complaint... 7/10

  • so which is better? HDMix, NS7, or the Prodigy FX?

  • This looks great to me, but I still worry about any "all in one" system dying on a gig! Even if I buy it, I am still bringing my backup cd's and cdn25 just in case....

  • I JUST BOUGHT THIS MIXER AND IT SEEMS TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH BOTH THE 500 GIG WESTERN DIGITAL AND MAXTOR DRIVES FOR EXTERNAL USE I DID HOWEVER HOOK UP A 1GIG

AND IT SEAMS TO WORK ALSO i HAVENT FIGURED OUT HOW TO SEARCH THE XTERNAL DRIVES YET TOMARROW I WILL BE INSTALLING THE 1GIG WISH ME LUCK..

  • MAKE SURE THEY ARE IN FAT32 FORMAT

  • These media controllers are and will be the way to go now and well into the future. However I would like to see one where the controllers for the player are closer to the user and the mixer is up behind. That's what kept me from buying the idj2 back a year ago. I do have the d2 director and I absolutly love that piece of kit.

  • 2 bad just the one CD tray... not total redundancy imo... but a very kewl concept.

  • For a mobile DJ - this is perfect. No need for problems from an external computer. Built in, replaceable hard drive. Two USB ports. Two microphone inputs - one for me, one for the wireless.

    Built in headphones.

    Three channels, extra RCA inputs.

    XLR outs.

Sounds like the perfect answer to my wish list. I will be ordering one...

  • this is ok but i would rather have a denon dnhd2500 or a pioneer mep7000 as better built the mixer on this looks a bit "wrapped in plastic, its not fantastic"

  • I am looking forward to seeing and more importantly getting a chance to test it out...

First impressions: why such a small hard drive to start off with??? such a waste...only 1 cd/dvd drive???

I will reserve the rest of my comments, until I can see this piece of equipment.

  • Why do you need a second drive? :S

Is not for playing and mixing CDs or DVDs, is just for riping ;)

  • so basically, its a professional grade cd/dvd ripping station with a removable hard drive???

then if/when the hard drive you've ripped your music to becomes inaccessible you play one song at a time with a pause in between?

  • Let me wipe off the drool, this is soooo on my wish list.

  • Hi Guys.... I like this product, contact me I would enjoy doing a review for you on it, media players have got to be the way forward... check out my American audio and adj reviews... jearley2424
