it's true. while sometimes she and the band often get lumped together with the other iconic female-led bands of that era....blondie,the pretenders....there was always something about them particularly that set them apart from everybody,even most men. they were just aeons more experimental and very willing to take on new territories in sound as well as lyrically. listening to their entire body of work,nobody else,and i mean no one,did what they did.

when i seen the banshees sid was on drums and they was really bad man. this sounds like pink floyd to when i seen them. i seen them a few years later after hong kong garden and she was still a stuck up little tart. she come on stage and said "you have only come to see us cos we have a single in the charts" couldn't think of another reason myself. any way i remember they had a half decent bass player. and that was abou it.
she may have been all that but she was also a trendsetter and true original who inspired a generation ... especially a generation of female musicians.
