  • the one dislike must've been between 4' 11'' and 5' 2''

  • great song and glad randy newman still has the voice to sing the song

  • ランディ・ニューマンの曲の中でたぶん一番有名な曲だと思うのですが、なぜか日本ではこの曲すらあまり知られていないのが残念・・。言葉の問題ですかね。

    私は大ファンです、昔から。

  • his voice ages well with him!! him and this song are my fav! :)

  • Jesus I think he's gonna croak

  • Short People got someone to love...me

  • yeah i think those partying days caught up with him....the eighties really did him in...i love la album was a powerhouse .....he had everybody on it....paul simon etc. he's definately a unique soul....im a big fan

  • I'm so short that this song is my anthem...gotta love a song about people like me!

  • Playing the finishing chord seems to come like a relief to him. His shortcomings as a vocalist always had some charm and brought out the sarcasm in his songs, but at this poin it's rather distracting and painful.

  • @andzwe if you don't like it don't listen

  • people are weird.

    awesome song.

  • Man his voice his aging with him, poor guy.

  • @TheGamerAtheist3 not only that you perhaps not exist for as many people as him, but also you don't even have the right to clean his shoes. So if there is a poor guy here... that one is you. And don't take this the wrong way, I have nothing against poor guys nor short people.

  • man hes having a hard time here, not his best vocal performance

  • my name is randy LOL its awsome :D!

  • 1) he looks better without the big, fluffy hairdo

2)one thing that always saddens me about artists that have been performing for 25-30+ years -- they lose their voice. newman, elton john, dionne warwick, james hetfield, the list goes on. i know it's a part of life, whether by wear n tear or by drugs, but it still saddens me.

To hear a live version today of "short people" without all the short notes and straining, or "goodbye yellow brick road," high notes and all, would be kick-ass...

  • nah i dont think so about #1..

  • @TheOriginalGrumpster Well, his voice was never classically lovely, it was all about the character and texture. And he clearly still has that in spades. Not significant to a song such as this to have a beautiful voice. Its far more significant to infuse it with personality.

  • Nice, love this song

  • Love it!
