The old early to late 80's subaru's with true 4WD systems would, but the new ones wouldn't come close, the new ones are too electronically dependent too.

The Subaru's are all wheel drive now not 4WD like the old 80's models were that actually had a manual shift transfer case with 2WD, 4High, and 4Low. The new ones are completely AWD, relying on a bunch of electronics to do the job that a simple part time 4WD system would do much better. People are just lazy and don't want to learn to drive properly which has led the majority of car companies to move to an AWD system so that people don't have to pull a lever or turn a knob anymore.

Nice tires, too. I know the places call them "all season", but I would rank them right up there with a good "all terrain" based on the tread pattern.

Can't say for sure, but I were to guess I'd say it's stock with some off road tires.

Subi's are mean. Slap some off road tires on them and they are a blast. While they may not be a hummer they will often have no issues going where no other daily driver has gone before.

I've got a stock 2005 Impreza. I've had it stuck once.... it was bottomed out.
