@TheMarblegirl101 google search "goldfish anatomy" and check the liver size. don't let your goldfish eat more than its liver size can handle. Like people, goldfish can live without food for a long time. If your goldfish is not eating its a possibility that it is having problems in the stomach .. goldfish can heal themselves if the disease was not related to fungus or any other disturbing creatures. I would change the food and by time to time.. just for change. Go for turtle food; mine love it!

I've also noticed that (while i was cleaning the filter) there are extremely small ball shaped thing stuck under and on top of the oxygenating plants. Are these the eggs and do you think that I could leave them there? Would they survive outside?

This is not a disease. The fish is just changing color as a way to express adaptation with the environment. No worries, this is totally normal.

There are no signs of injury at all. I am getting frustrated as neither fish is swollen and the one doing the chasing (who I assume to be the male) does not have the breeding spots on its gills or pectoral fins.

i dont think so, i bought them for my father and he is the one who takes care of them. He changes 50% of the amount of water in the tank every week and makes whole tank cleanning every month. after cleaning he waits 30min then put the fish back.

Let me guess. The water was dirty and you couldn't see anything. After you cleaned the water, you put your goldfish back directly into the water without noticing the difference in the water temperature. Is that right?

When it's time for breeding the male will get tiny white dots, like bobbles, on its cheeks. Its front fins will also have white edges, also tiny dots but they look different than the ones on its cheeks. The female usually has a belly and it looks bigger in size.

After you collect all the eggs and put them in a different container, they will all have a yellowish transparent color. After the first day, some of the eggs will turn white. That is due to being unfertilized. The unfertilized eggs are most likely to get fungus and that's why they turn white. The fungus will infect the healthy eggs (fertilized eggs) if you didn't throw the white eggs out as soon as possible.

They're totally fine. It happens. You don't have to do anything. If it doesn't bother them, it shouldn't bother you either. Just learn to accept it.

I only tried the natural way and then separated them after 4 hours. Many eggs were fertilized about %60.

I fed them powder weed (green powder). I bought it from the pet store. But I remember when they were younger, I read somewhere on the internet that you can feed them dry powder yolk (yellow part of a boiled egg). It is rich in protein and fat. I honestly did not try it.
