  • and love the toon man! good work

    ib x

  • Funky man. Groovy!

  • I just came across these. You mix music with rational thoughts. Excellent!

  • thats no pale blue dot that was earth.....

  • How did i miss this? 5 stars and favorited. Kind of scary to see the uber-shit that is Santeria in the same list with uber-mellow religions like Jainism.

My only complaint: you edited out Carl's opening that properly gives credit for this to his wife Ann Druyan. "Ann Druyan suggests a thought experiment..."

  • Love it!

  • Dig the music and the alternate commentary by

    Dr Sagan.

    Nice one.

  • I am not into this type of music but It would be cool if you continued making this music with science and atheistic themes for public consumption.

  • Very good job!

  • i think you could really get money in the music industry. how much time to you spend making songs? everything is a matter of practise. moby, quite well-known now, puts some hours per day into it... and always did. he made about 1 song per day for some years, and just selected the best ones for his album. most songs go directly from his home adress onto the album, without further recording or editing.

    practise ^^

  • It depends on the song really. Some projects have taken a year, I go back to them once in a while to play around and add stuff, some others take as little as a day. This one took about 18 hours and about 4 for the video.

  • Great video. 5 stars.

  • i made a little shoutout-video for you :)

lets hope that you will get some more attention. more people need to watch it ^^

  • You Sir, are a gentleman Sir :)

  • great vid - and quite an impressive list there of whole people groups who are unequivocally "right."

  • Indeed, I tried to make Sagan's point less subtle by using that list.

    Thx for the comment :)

  • And modern atheism isn't a religion??? Seems a lot more atheists are proactive these days in spreading/shoving their views and beliefs on others. Anyone who doesn't share their beliefs is automatically labelled as "closedminded", "narrowminded", "unscientific", etc.... meanwhile statistics show that atheists in general make for patheticly selfish human beings with very little desire to help their fellow man.

  • kooslap would you please show me the statistics you speak of?

The spark of public speaking you've seen from non-theists is called push-back.

  • Check out a small example from the site of "The Barna Group"...do a search for an article named "Atheists and Agnostics Take Aim at Christians"....read it all and see...especially the part that says "those who divorce themselves from spiritual commitment are significantly less likely to help others."

  • Actually statistics show that non-religious people commit less crime, divorce less, discriminate less, are more intelligent, better educated, etc, etc, etc. Would the world be worse off if cultist conmen of the various pulpits extorted less money from the masses? Whether we like it or not the world will eventually move on from iron age myths, some just do it quicker than others.

  • Actually the stats about divorce refer to married atheists not atheists in general.

  • True, but regardless, the stats also show that living together (either before marriage or living together unmarried) results in shorter relationships in the longrun. This validates the notion that good strong relationships are based on values of honesty, honor, faith and respect instead of basing everything on crotch and finances.

  • Ah, perhaps taking a test run to see if there is a legitimate love connection is more honest, honorable, faithful, and respectful, then just faking it because it's 'the right thing to do'?

  • i fail to see how atheists are less caring than believers of an organised religion. There are plenty of uncaring, selfish, egoistical, fascistic people out there, and it doent seem to matter what religion they are, or if they have no religion. But for me, i try my best to be caring and good in my ways, not out of fear of some scary God, but because i truly believe that is jus better for everyone in general.

i dont draw this opinion from a book, its just my own experience. slaint mhath x

  • Nice work

  • Excellent vid... well done.
