Technically it is a "Long case clock" they called them grandfather clocks because of the song "My grandfathers clock was to tall for the shelf so it stood ninety years on the floor"

Unfortunately I didn't get a video of the St. Michaels chime, but it does have it. This is a Keininger movement. We service all types of movements both antique and modern.

I have a grandfather clock with a hermle 1161-853 movement in it and it does not sound as good as this Keininger movement. This is my first grandfather clock and after I bought it, I was told that hermle is not as good of a movement as Kieninger but hermle also costs less. From your experience, What is your opinion about hermle and kieninger movements? Do you think Kieninger is better than hermle? The resonance of this Kieninger movement sounds much better than my hermle movment. Thanks
