    @MovieShowMemories you right girls touch

  • This worked perfectly! The cable is a little different in the Iphone 3Gs but it was enough to get me in there and get it done. You are awesome! Maybe it takes a girls' touch you haters out there. I had no problems. Put down your bong, focus and follow the simple instructions.

  • @MovieShowMemories

I recently bought a faulty backlight 4th Gen ITouch...and I followed this video (more or less) and now it's fixed...saving me loads of money.

Me 1-0 Apple Store bwahahahahahahaaaaaa :D

    Girl's touch indeed....woop

  • Thank you so much!!!

  • @Howrthemgreenapples

    this really worked ?

  • @Pandaliz1

Yea it did work but mine was different

  • heres what I did to fix my itouch

    1) drop into water

2)as soon as u realized it, try to get onto itunes store and download as many random free apps as possible (dis may be the hardest part since u can barely see, if u cant see it, go on ur pc/mac itunes and download latest version)

3)if u download a big enough/enough apps, the itouch should start to overheat, the heat should start to dry/evaporate the H2O inside the itouch and ur done!! congratz :D

  • @FaTB0i8u -.-'

  • @FaTB0i8u LOL thats such a fucking retarted idea!

  • @FaTB0i8u iTouch does not exist.

  • i tryed this and it didint work

  • I got to the point where I was willing to peal this gadget apart before throwing it away, and well, after peeling off the plastic screen overlay, and reconnecting the connector attached to the screen overlay to the power switch it works great, minor damage to the unit along the case sealing, but i have a leather ipod case to fix that, thanks for this video, i feel much better about purchasing this device now.

  • Um... this isn't simple. Everyone isn't this confident with opening up their devices like that.

  • Nice Video But idk if this would be good So I wont try it

    I think I have the 2nd GEN

  • I tried this on my ipod (i have a 2nd gen) and it actually worked. All you people complaining that your ipod is broken now...... just STFU. You should all know that something like this is a "try at your own risk" option. Your ipod is not meant to be opened up by just anyone. So if you tried this and broke yours...... it's your fault. Not his.

  • Hmm one problem. If you removed the battery the ipod would reset the date/time and wouldn't turn on the standby mode. Fake.

  • @JamesEdwardReid what he meant by "take off the battery" is "move it out of the way". the problem your talking about would only happen if you disconnect the battery..... but nice try moron.

  • @JamesEdwardReid did you even watch the video? besides, 1st gen ipods are pretty easy to tinker with

  • I've got an iTouch 2nd Generation with a dim LCD screen. This video is for a 1st Generation.

I tried following the instructions in this video and it did not fix my screen, although my iTouch still works after putting it back together (I've done this at least 5 times already).

Anyone whining that this video broke their iTouch must have not been careful and broke something while disassembling. What are you expecting? These devices aren't meant to be opened up by amateurs in their bedrooms.

  • I wish i knew if this were legit or not.

  • Ilol try it on mine, thanks for advise

  • it has to be 1st gen for it to work others you might have to send it to apple.

  • how do you open up the back of the case?

  • DONT WATCH IT5 DOESNT WORK!!! IT IS ALL LIES!! MY IPOD TOUICH IS BROKEN NOW!!!

  • TO ANY STUPID MFER WHO BROKE THEIR DEVICE USING THIS VIDEO ITS PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT COMPUTERS OR ELECTRONICS AND JUsT STR8 UP OPENED IT WITHOUT ANY PRECAUTION AT ALL. THIS GUY DOESNT MOVE ANYTHING BUT HIS HANDS DURING THIS VIDEO BECAUSE HES BEEN DE-STATIC'D PRIOR TO THE VIDEO STARTING

  • OMG no offence or anything but u r a F** legend!! thanks man it worked :D

  • @ashizo94

    Why would that be offensive?

  • can i do this with a cracked screen?

  • ifixit.com go FUCK yourself, now my phone is broken

  • @eatmealiveplease actually your an idiot.. it says for ipod not iphone. fucking noob.

  • @eatmealiveplease thats cuz you're doing it with a phone first of all and secondly its just a reset that he did he didnt replace any part dipfuck so obviously it wont work for people with a truly burnt out LCD. And if you managed to BREAK the entire thing in the process you most likely did so with static that you didnt get off yourself before opening the electronic device. My advice is don't open shit if you don't understand shit...ESPECIALLY electronics that are computer related.

  • @eatmealiveplease Oh and P.S. he's not repping ifixit.com he's only saying thats where you get tools for popping out things like that LCD cable clip. I bought my tools from there 3 years ago to replace a fan under alot of shit inside my laptop and it went over perfectly. Once again you are stupid for thinking a youtube video would be so thorough. 99.9% chance you broke your shit because you forgot to de-static. Thanks g'day an Have a knowledgeless life, twat-bag.

  • aaa dumasas u lisin to this lying fat fuck u can see it in his fat fucking face that it's a joke plus go get a life fat ass then tricking people who ever reads this report this vid

  • @titsbobmagy you are the joke. i suggest this comment to you..."All you people are stupid, use your brain.

    notice the model...

    the connector....

and this isn't a sure fix its try at your own risk

jeez is this that hard to understand!?"

  • All you people are stupid, use your brain.

    notice the model...

    the connector....

and this isn't a sure fix its try at your own risk

jeez is this that hard to understand!?

  • u fat fuck stop ur lying ass

  • i hate you o the tech. my ipod worked and now it doesnt cause i did what you said. you can suck it with your nerd ass.

  • this is the biggest scam it will never work. i tried it and all it did was make the power button unfunctional

  • hmmm seems like a possibility, maybe part of the lcd ribbon cable got loose and needs to be put back in place, im gonna try it right now with my 2g ipod touch

  • @xXJOEVXx it did work, easy fix

  • I KANT EVEN FKN HEAR SHITOES!!

  • UJ

  • HAS THIS WORKED FOR ANYONE YET????

  • i have the 2nd gen ipod touch and i opened it up and everything; i cant find the part where you take out and put back in:(

  • HI, I have recently bough a ipod touch 32gb 3gen and unfortunately it has dim screen so i replaced the lcd but didnt make any difference...

Can anyone suggest solution to this problem other than going to apple store, thanks in advance!!!

  • What about an iPhone 3gs?

  • Will you fix mine?

  • hi buddy you seem to be the master ... so we all over here in the jailbreak world downloaded a program that kicked us in to dfu mode and wont come out try to restore...error 28 over and over been told to unhook battery for a while and when hooked up should come out of it ... dose this sound accurate and if not or even if do you know a better way with out hurting warranty? thanks you seem to be one of the best thanks

  • Thanks, I got my backlight to start working again on my iPod Touch 2G, but I had to desolder / resolder the three battery leads to do it!

  • you either dropped it in water. cant repair must bring to apple.

OR you dropped it so many times or hard like me. I banged it on my desk about 5 times hard. sleep mode. turned it back on screen worked fine. your wire is probably not connected properly like mine ;D

    Hope this helps

  • man now my ipod wont come on at all this is just messed up

  • my ipod broke from this damn video dude! WTF! this shytte dont work! FAKE!

  • @justino1440 your ipod broke more then likely you are a idiot i have fixed 4 sofar from this video if i could not it was because it had something else wrong cauysing it why thumbs up shows the narrow minded people

  • @justino1440 Has it occurred to you that :

    a) You are possibly mentally handicapped, as implied by the lack of grammar and incorrect spelling, resulting in

    b) You did this process wrong, or

    c) The issue with your backlight is from something else entirely?

  • @justino1440

What wonderful usage of grammar that you and the other top poster displayed.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that both of you didn't have the tools for working on your itouch from the site he suggested. Probably tried to use a knife or something. Also I am going to guess you didn't use nearly as much caution and patience as needed.

When I get some cash I will pick up the tools and let you know if this really is bs or not.

  • @outlawedtoker yo did u ever find out if this method works or not?? any info would be great thanks !

  • @MultiGramma didn't open it. Plan on having a android phone in the next few months which will replace this so in the meantime its no biggie for me to deal with no backlight

  • u fuking fat ass i mah turn ur mom into ipod touch now and will use her 2 play my songs.. cuz i fuked up my ipod touch following ur instructions bitch give me ur mom or ipod touch now.. u dont kno shit!!!!

  • @bato0r1 no reason to be a dick. u probably did it wrong. dont go off on this guy for trying to help people, he just told u how to fix your ipod he didnt make u do it urself. by the way, nice mom joke. how old are you, 5? grow a sack and stop bitching.

  • For all we know, his ipod never was borken at all. But still, my ipods backlight isn't working. Whatever.. I'll just get a 64 Gb ipod touch at wal mart for $400

  • CAUSE I'M GOING TO OPEN MY IPOD AND VOID MY WARRANTY.

  • @Caza1202 opening your ipod up will void the warranty, but if you're still under warranty you can get it repaired for free. this is for when you're not under warranty

  • so what abtou the back light? my backlight doesnt work

  • LMFAOOOOOOOOO @ THE COMMENTS ... FUCK YOU FAT ASS ROFL

  • fuck this,i tried it and my screen cracked, fuck u fat ass

  • @CaptainJaggs hahahahahahhaha nice

  • I have tried this with my Iphone 3GS but it doesn't work

  • I just like did exacly what he did on my 1g and the screen is even turning on anymore!

  • So If I'm seeing this correctly. Basically the only problem was a loose connection from the LCD screen to the logic board? That cause the light to dim out?

  • fucking bullshit killing your ipod touhc u fucking fucked upp nigher

  • doesnt work

  • does this work for a 2g ipod touch???i would try this but i dont want to risk screwing up my ipod...

  • hey can u do one video on 3g how to fix the backlight??

  • I don't know if you guys noticed this or not but he DIDN"T show us his ipod in the begging, he didn't show us it with its back light broken. What if it was never broken?

  • yes he did

  • I doubt this will gunna work

  • My iPod Touch (64GB) had water damage and I had to pay $200.00USD in order to receive a refurbished one, instead of a brand new one. I took the old one into the Apple store and they used (what a doctor would use to look into someone's ear) microscope to look into the 3.5 jack and found a red line (there's a little white strip if you look inside the jack) indicating that their was water damage.

  • it did work i just did it

  • how the ... I wish this worked on mine LOL!!

  • does this really work

  • obvious troll.

  • dude u r a f**kin liar! and a loser! go f*ck your mom. suck her dick!u broke my fuckin ipod n now i gottta make a funeral u have to pay me BITCHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey i have a 2g? help.

  • it is the same for a 3g iphone ?

  • does it work on 2.0

  • Didn't work

  • wow are you serious..

ihad this problem, and attempted to take it apart as shown and shattered the lcd and glass..

and then out of the blue iput it on my ihome and hit play..

boom, backlight works fine, and continues to..

    soo, backlight fixed.

    lcd and glass touch screen..busted..

omfg, talk about bad luck xD

  • Wat happens if i dosent work cause it didnt work for me

  • Is this a permanent fix? If so, how does unplugging a cable, and plugging it back in fix it?

  • didnt show a replacement? stupid!

  • It would be nice to know how to open the casing.

  • @endersg Just search it on youtube ??? Duh

  • Didn't work for me. =-(

  • Apple fails. Microsoft FTW

  • @jedicooper Exactly
