  • HAHA now I know why it was never shown in Saudi

  • I'm so glad nothing like this ever happened in real life...

    Oh, wait.

  • holy moley its julia gillard

  • To the uploader, This was NOT fictional. The 2002 Mecca girls' school fire resulted in the deaths of 14 school girls and 50 more injured. The religious police prevented the girls from exiting the school because they were not wearing appropriate Islamic dress.

  • the Qur'an is perfect? whahahaha what a load of bull. that's like saying catholicism is perfect during the crusades.

  • dont get me WRONG >>coz im not even tht Patriotic ! i do acknowledge & admite tht my Country isn't PERFECT but nor ur's.!!

. i used to like ur COUNTRY , i also believed tht a country which gave the whole World True LEADERS like J.F.K won't run short of giving TRUE leaders AGAiN .

coz after the FOG of UR>> "Global War on terror" FADE'S AWAY god know's wn , u'll Realize tht theres sO Much More than Afganistan ,IRAQ , ABO GREAB & GUANTANMO-BAY tht Needs rebuilding

  • so with all DO RESPECT ..BUT !

Let's cut the crap !! coz U know that WE know that non of U guys or ur PRESIDENTs DO REALLY GIVE a DAMN ABOUT SAUDIA ARABIA !! coz ur TOP Priorities are Obvious > Oil & iSRAEL which ever come's 1st !

    .

so if u guys so ANXIOUS to deal with BIG-ISSUES why dont u guys DEAL with ur Debt Crisis as a beginning or >> RoBBinG Other Country's Resources is the Best SOLUTION tht u CAME UP with !!?

    .

or wt about NORTH KORIA's N.U.C.S or Famine in Somalia ?

  • Princesses & Gents..for god sake How c'd U guys jump to Conclusions about a COUNTRY,ITS citizens& thier RELIGION based on a T.V. SHOW? which's anyway brought to u by "STEREOTYPE -DOUBLE -STANDARD MEDIA" !?

    .

Example : the HeartLeSS PSYCHOPATH who "KiLLeD 90 + HUMAN BEING" in NORWAY called an>> Assailant,Extremist &GUN MAN by most of ur MEDIA agincies! BUT if he was(MUSLEM) they wdn't even Hesitate 2 call his ass A (TERRORST) even if his MOM is "Michael Shoemaker" him god damn self

  • This show used to crack me up, they used to devote slot of time and energy on pc bull and sound like such pussies.

    Good show though.

  • @funnyasfuc I agree that The West Wing did sometimes get really preachy and sound like a political broadcast for lefty 'pc' values, but you don't include this clip in that do you? Surely all segments of the western political spectrum can agree that trapping schoolgirls in a burning building because your religion says they're not dressed properly is evil and insane?

Oh and in case you didn't know this storyline was based 100% on a true story: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/1874471.stm

  • Go to hell

    hypocrites

the most hated country in the world is america try to know why

    keep worshipping israel

dogs of israel shame on you

    ^_^

  • @lo0lo0007

Aww, so cute. You're angry at the truth. It's okay, go eat a cookie.

  • @StrigExLibris how I could be cute by being angry weirdo :s

I'm cute ok I agree with you but not angry I was stating facts thats all ..

  • @lo0lo0007 Oh yes, because US foreign policy includes the kissing of Israeli ground. Just because we look at the world through a different lens and don't back down from a fight with terrorists (who happen to be Islamic) doesn't make us the servants of an Israel. If we hated Islam or truly wanted what was best for Israel, we wouldn't be trying to find a solution to the Middle Eastern problem, we'd just bomb them back to their creation, a.k.a. the birth of Ishmael.

  • @MsRawrrawr101 oh really wow

all I can say that I disagree with every sentence you said,I don't know should I mention why or what I guess I'm passing out.

are you for real , seriously??

it's like listening to president shoe I mean bush talking what's wrong with you !!

man seriously please you need to start using your brain if you really love your country just do to your brain a favor and vote for ron paul it's not too late to be good american .

  • @lo0lo0007 Nice reply. Good to see you use facts or logic in your arguments. Just so you know, I'd rather be informed about the world and able to form my own opinion than "be good american" as you suggest. Because, quite frankly, it's a lot better to actually know what's going on in the world.

  • @MsRawrrawr101 *sigh* hope my simple english help me to express what I really want to say, first of all I completely agree with you about forming your own opinion but this opinion according to what to fox news cnn etc ?? television media not only in america actually in the whole world wont let you see the whole picture they will only let you see what they wants and that's a problem for example here in middle east we have pro-american media which is the most and anti-american media but

  • @MsRawrrawr101 me as a recipient I don't want t watch the anti nor the pro I want to see the truth as it Unfortunately there is no independent media each channel specially on tv change the real picture to serve their own goals and interests. so how we can find the truth thank god that gave us brain to look on different resources and start collecting the pieces of the picture or at least something near to it helping us imagine how the truth is look like to search by ourselves to hear BOTH SIDES

  • @MsRawrrawr101 the one who we like and the other who we don't like and then we inform a justisfull opinion as best as we can , sorry for the long comment but this is a thing that I learned and I wanted to share it with you ...

  • @MsRawrrawr101 about the policy of usa from human to human I cannot understand what you are defending ?? are you a ware of what your country did to other people countries how amany innocents people died in iraq in afghanistan just to get their oil or you just don't care they are human you know they have feelings they have people they love are gone because of what usa done thousands of children with no fathers and mothers living hell alone you ruined their country, home

  • @MsRawrrawr101 ,forbidding them the joy of life your sick soldiers doing all kind of crimes while laughing and filming like monsters even the american soldiers who still have heart and Conscience either killed thier own fally or refuse to go back to iraq did you ask yourself why ?? how on earth a soldier attacks his own army?? what did he see that make him killed his mates, only in american army the army who don't know what he fight for

  • @MsRawrrawr101 and you still have the dare to say "we try to find solutions for middle east" who do you think you are ?? some sort of Goddess ?? hiding behind your fake democracy and your double standards fix yourself first and your leader israel when you stop your crimes then ask people to do so you're simply dictators you are destroying and attacking any thing different from you no one wants to be like you hypocrites

  • @lo0lo0007 Of course, you wouldn't know this, because I doubt you have taken the time to review or look into American history at all or read the original thoughts behind our creation. Yes, I agree with you on the media point. But that IS why god gave us thought and rationale discourse. If you look hard enough, the truth (or a more accurate version of events) is there. We can form our own judgements.

I want to make another point about the

y, por tu informacion, mi primera idioma es Espanol.

  • @lo0lo0007 about the Middle East. (My apologies for posting in Spanish, that was meant to be at the end. It is my first language though.) As a liberal thinker, I don't necessarily agree with the steps that are being taken with the Middle East right now. However, I think we both need to acknowledge that it wasn't getting any better on its own. The bombings would still have kept happening if the US hadn't gone into Afghanistan, and they haven't stopped entirely, but that have lessened somewhat.

  • @lo0lo0007 And when I say bombings, I don't just mean Sept 11. I mean attacks on London, Germany, Italy, Russia, the attempted assassination of a Saudi Arabian Ambassador by Iran on US soil. These issues were not going away by themselves, and they won't for a long time. But I would rather have gone into Afghanistan and reminded the terrorists that we will fight to defend ourselves and the world if need be than sit back and allow extremists to run the show. You don't like Israel, fine, it's a

  • @lo0lo0007 perfectly valid opinion. But don't try to stand there and tell me they are the reason for all of the upheaval or that the US is wrong for trying to make a situation better. A goddess? Maybe, I'll take it up with God next time I talk to him. But don't you want children to be able to read literature, to look at other cultures, to understand principles of math and science that are forbidden under some Middle Eastern regimes? I don't care if the rest of the world is a democracy, I care

  • @MsRawrrawr101 yes I do , I still make the point that american are israel's followers cause no one until now convince me otherwise they are always try to please thier evil israeli masters which is obiviously disgusting ,

for example they protect the israeli "right" to have A Nuclear Weapon while attack any other middle eastern country who have it ,they keep silents about 1. israel using illegal weapon against palstenian 2.isreal killing civillians 3.killing peacfull activists i

  • @MsRawrrawr101 activists including americans activists 4. killing hundreds of childrens and bombing schools and buildings while they talk about iraq iran syria libya etc and try to interrupt the sitauatons in anyway possible , the american keeps silents watching crimes the israeli commit against palsetenians people, israel is a racist nazi fake country only cowards and slaves defending it, american open thire big mouth against any country except thire master israel what a shame

  • @MsRawrrawr101 they have no diginity nor pride makes me sick .if I talk about israeli crimes I will be talking for ever you have to be blinds ,coward ,slave for israel if you deny it all I can say is duh I'm not gonna to write 100 comments explaining thire crimes against human rights.AND YES I will talk about killing innocents people you like it or not you are telling me you cannot talk about killing innocents people cause you're goverments do it too ?? thats an immature repaly

  • @MsRawrrawr101 expected though I understand what kind of american you are trying to defend israel no matter what sad really.think about what you just said ,eventhough your comment is pathetic I sympthy with you so I'm gonna replay it's very easy cause I'm saudi from saudi arabia you know ,thats why I came to this silly video in firstplace any way , my goverment doesn't do anything of what you said killing and beatnig people on streets I never saw a dead bloody body in my life thank god

  • @MsRawrrawr101 one of the best features in my country is safty and feeling save so what do you want from thats comment huh?? did you expect me to defend syrian or libyan goverments for example?? I really don't understand your way of thinking libya sirya and israel are on the same category to me happy now ?? thats the different between me and you if someone did something wrong I will never defend the wrong no matter what if we have the same race religion etc the wrong is wrong

  • @MsRawrrawr101 no matter what if we have the same race religion etc the wrong is wrong and the right is right so try again.oh yeah don't bring Qur'an to the conversation unless you know what you are talking about it's a big word for you and you're only making an ignorant fool of yourself it's only an advice :)

yup usa is soooo far from perfect the peoblem is you still don't get my point of view it's so simple you are talking now about islamic extremists and 9 11!!

  • @MsRawrrawr101 I wonder why you don't undersatnd my point or you just want to talk with someone about certain things on your mind I don't have intrest in talking about different subjects currently, I will mention my previous point of view again :1- america is follower to their master israel and I told you why I said that.

2-america has it's own problems which should be enough to shut thier mouth while feeling ashamed of the situation of thire people, start looking at thier problem

  • @MsRawrrawr101 by stop talking about other countries local news :)

ok now I'll respond your offtopics about islamic extremist who gave them weapons on the first place read about sheshan and taliban

about iraq who made saddam then turn the table on him

about palestine who was saying the tow contries is the solution and when palsetinian did a shocking move and accept that solution they were the first to stand against palestenian xD

america is so exposed now thier games doesn't work

  • @MsRawrrawr101 work anymore they play the role of arab's friends then stabbing arab from the back doing what Israeli wants .

actually I know about american history and I didnt like it at all so bloody shamful and unhuman disgussting but helpped understand why until today there is racist crimes, gangs fighting and children killing thier parents people can not live witheachother peacfully there is wars every where in schools in restrunts streets metro busses unimaginable violents

  • @MsRawrrawr101

    american society is crazy indeed

about the media I agree with you .

about 911 it's an inside job fun fact instead of listening to news try to read and see who was absent that day 

about wars and interruption by american ?? you don't do that for the sake of help you only do it for your own interests second and your masters interests first you only gain loosing money more hate and the intention of revenge increased cause afghani and iraqi people has valuable souls

  • @lo0lo0007 that the people of this world get the chance the live a life where THEY can make choices. Where they have a chance to stress out about a midterm as opposed to which coffee shop is going to be blown up next or which type of bomb they want to detonate. And I don't hate Muslims, I'm not scared of every Islamic man, woman, or child who walks by me on the street. I worry about the ones a couple thousand miles away who think I'm the devil because I get the chance to read Chaucer.

  • @MsRawrrawr101 too so so don't be surprized if they attack your country or kidnapped inocent american cause that what you get when you invade other people countries good for ya keep going .

"I worry about the ones a couple thousand miles away who think I'm the devil because I get the chance to read Chaucer"

you're so paranoid and what if they know that you read Chaucer or lets say first how will they know if they live couple thousand miles away don't worry lol

  • @MsRawrrawr101 About freedom of speech in America it is a lie if they saw that you could make a change on the policy of country towards Israel you will be killed look what happened to kinnedy why he got killed because he didn't take order from anyone trust me read about that you will find Israel on there and on the road you can research about American journalist getting fired because of criticizing Israel.

about your last comment yes I want my children to be able to do that

  • @MsRawrrawr101 fortunally I'm practicing muslim the first word god said it to prophet mohammad pbuh is "Read" also god said in quran "O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other)." plus god said ""Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition" there is alot of sectors

  • @MsRawrrawr101 in quraan supporting scientists and science I don't need america or democracy to tell me so, I know exactly my rights as a human and what the right things to do :)

may be you need democracy cause christianity is not perfect the bible has so many contradiction and doesnt suit the world today but to us islam is perfect and guarentee the rights for every creatures I prefer to follow the words of god instead of american cause I only worship and obey god he created me

  • @MsRawrrawr101 and know the best for me thats it and muslims starting to realize that hoping their governments wake up too and rule the countries as islam said .

you said you care about other people living on the so called democracy I tell you please take care of your own people first and END the fed now don't be so harsh on your people just because they want to live a decent life they are american too.

I said what I have to say not sure if you gonna read it all thank you very much.

  • @MsRawrrawr101 Start finding solutions to your f**** up country no jobs poor education drugs Prostitution teen pregnacy rape rubbery racist crimes ghetto street wars do you want me to state more?? if you didn't stop your evil works on the world taking orders from isreal and start to solve your problems one day usa will collaps on your head just saying .

  • @lo0lo0007 You're still making the point about taking orders from Israel, and you're still wrong. Do you honestly think the US listens only to Israel? And don't even start about killing innocents. Middle Eastern governments have been slaughtering their own people, performing their own "righteous" genocide for generations; freely and openly killing and beating those who disagree with their opinions and who dare to question the authority of them or their medieval adherence to the Qur'an. No

  • @lo0lo0007 I don't think that the US is perfect, and I never said it was. But we at least have the freedoms to think and learn for ourselves if we choose too. I do agree, oil played a huge part in our place in the middle east, and I never said it didn't. But don't YOU forgot, Islamic extremists brought the fight to our door on Sept 11th. And if the US collapses, so be it. Our founding fathers suggested a revolution every few hundred years as a necessary step to maintaining a working government.

  • @lo0lo0007 Oh, and by the way, remember that the originators of Islam and Judaism came from the same father, Abraham, and when he died came together to bury him. And Israelis do have Middle Eastern allies, such as Egypt, Jordan.... another funfact, the British actually started the idea with the Mandate of Palestine. So, if you really want to blame someone, blame the Brits. Or maybe all the jackasses who have persecuted the jews over the years, forcing them to feel the need for their own nation.

  • Thank you for leaving tue little intro theme in their at the end.... Made me happy to hear that again

  • This is actually very loosely based on a real life incident that happened in Saudi Arabia. Their was a fire in a school and some religious policemen were on the scene to prevent rescue workers from saving the girls. The incident was a scandal in the kingdom, prompting the religious police committee to be stripped of some of its powers and it lost quite a bit of social respect.

  • @Browned79 in any reasonable country, that is any non muslim those men would be in jail for that.

Their organization banned and the public outcry would brougth the head of state down.

Yet another reason to hate muslims as I need more.

  • This show was just AWESOME!! I still can't get enough of it!! Do you hear me Aaron Sorkin? Get busy writing and give me some MORE!!

  • damn----i miss that show!!!!

  • Wow. If only we had leaders in real life with the courage to come right out and say this. The only reason we don't is because we've unnecessarily made ourselves hostages to foreign oil. If we drilled our own, maybe we wouldn't have to stay silent on atrocities in the muslim world for fear of another crippling embargo.

  • @FreemanicParacusia Too right. Also the fact remains that eventually this planet WILL run out of oil and we have to perhaps move ourselves to a situation in which we are no longer dependant on it as a energy source and really solve the problem.

  • @FreemanicParacusia NUCLEAR POWER FTW!!!

  • @FreemanicParacusia We don't have leaders like this because we care more about what a message sounds like than what the message is. We end up with politicians who care more about being seen to be right than doing the right thing.

  • @inq101 Too true... we like to hear what we want to hear. But ultimately, platitudes make a poor substitute for math. As a very wise woman once said, "you can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality." We're running out of time to learn that lesson.

  • @FreemanicParacusia Canada will be happy to sell our friend, neighbour and ally, the United States, all the oil it needs. watch?v=1SjZlqbDudI&feature=related

  • @FreemanicParacusia Or if we invested in alternative energies, we could protect the environment, our natural resources AND not be completely in hock to backward regimes.

  • @mikeyfranklin101 I'll be all for alternative energy - once we find something that actually works. The technology just isn't there yet. If it was, the market would already be springing for it, and there would be no reason for these companies to petition the government for hundreds of millions of dollars in loans. Spain bankrupted itself pressing ahead with current technologies. We have centuries worth of oil in this country - there's no reason not to use it while we work on a viable replacement.

  • @FreemanicParacusia Only about 17% of our oil comes from the Middle East, actually.

  • The 'partners in peace' line goes straight through me.

  • What episode is this from?

  • I am so VERY happy that I live in a country where, if my house catches fire, and I run outside stark naked, my neighbors will run into their houses to find me a blanket, rather than pushing me back into my burning closet.

  • google 2002 saudi arabia school fire

  • If CJ were real, this world would be a much better place.

I know I'm already 23 so running a bit late to have an idol in life, but Miss Claudia Jean Cregg is it.

  • @Ch3ls4wy face it your culture is backward................and so, obviously is your country's interpretation of a religion based on peace and love......not burning children and facist clothing laws.

  • @topgear100 the problem is that you don't want to change what you believe in even if its wrong , if you haven't been here you would not understand , and our culture is not backward as any another culture but you know your media is fighting our culture because we are Muslims but if you want to really " backward Culture " you can read about some countries like JAPAN, CHINA , MALAYSIA and so on , there culture is more strict than ours but , this is our culture and we are proud of it. .

  • @Ch3ls4wy Your police attacks women if they are not wearing the right clothing & lets them burn in a fire. It happened 9 years ago. Not 20 years, not 30 years. 9 YEARS. They were school girls left to burn to death because they didn't cover up. If you don't think that's backwards then you've got some serious issues.

Don't go trying to divert attention to the barbaric nature of these so called "followers" of Islam by putting other countries in the way. Those school girls were forced to DIE

  • @NickyLess What do you mean about '' attack '' , they don't attack anybody they just talk to them and say '' please , have a good clothes next time '' thats all. Yes , there is a lot of police men are very religious they do some actions that only represent him self. Second : about the '' burn '' case , yes it was very big mistake but it happens even in the U.S some police men can act WRONG.

  • @Ch3ls4wy So it wasn't attacking those girls when they pushed them back into the fire? It's not an attack when they beat up women? I've seen it myself. And it's not a "burn" case it's a MURDER case. They KILLED those girls. Rather then save them and cover them up with a blanket, they made then BURN to DEATH!

  • @Ch3ls4wy Proud of having a culture which looks the other way to massive prostitution. Saudi Arabia proclaimed the holy lands, has massive prostittution. Raping of servants and maids- mostly indian and philipino. All manual labor is done by immigrants, immigrants who are cheated out thier pay. Male prostitution is also a big problem in Saudi Arabia. John Bradley wrote a great book on Saudi Arabia called: Saudi Arabia Exposed. I suggest everyone read it.

  • @Ch3ls4wy It happened. It was real, it's sick and it's disgusting.

Whinge all you like about women having "freedom" but it was based on real events and it's not the first time women have been beaten for not wearing the right clothes.

Just type in to google: Friday, 15 March, 2002, Saudi police 'stopped' fire rescue

    It pops straight up.

  • @NickyLess I've read it , and I'm sorry for it , but it could happen at any place in the world , some police men acts wrong . You should know that i believe in freedom and i totally disagree with a lot of my country's believe which only represent a culture , not the ISLAM . because there is a lot of Muslim countries which believe in freedom of thinking , living , and believing. But we have a lot of '' stupid '' religious guys which have the power to make decisions.

  • @Ch3ls4wy Could, I suppose yes. This could happen anywhere in the world. But would it? No... No this would not happen "anywhere" in the world. Only in places that regard women as objects meant to be wrapped and kept from view more importantly than they value the lives of those women. Sorry Chels, that only happens in truly F@cked up places.

  • @Ch3ls4wy It could but it doesn't. I'm a brit, when a police officer attacked a drunk guy during the G8 protests, he's been taken to court over it. I don't see any of the religious police going to court over pushing those girls BACK INTO THE FIRE. Please understand that NOTHING justifies what the religious police does. And if it's cultural, then don't let them hold the power. Fight against them. Stand up for what is right, not what is cultural under the guise of religion.

  • @NickyLess

Saudi Arabia is an Ally, of your Ally. "It needs to change". Really? Well, what the fuck is YOUR country doing about it. You Brits help America "cowboy" all over the Middle East, but you cowards won't lay a hand on Saudi Arabia. The Bush family loved the Saudi's. Also American's AND Brits could give a shit about women there. So save the sanctimonious tirade.

  • @drbayoms I'm not in charge of foreign policy. I'm joe public. I also was NOT for the war in Afghanistan etc. I pay donations to a charity that fights to maintain human rights across the world. I'm doing the best I can at this moment in time. Yes Saudi Arabia needs to change. You can't agree that those school children were forced to burn? You can't think women shouldn't be allowed to drive? If you do, you're a monster and not worth any more of my time.

  • @NickyLess

Im sure there is a balance between 1.) keeping women wrapped in sheets. Or 2.) having some recently augmented big boob blonde from the Midwest who moves to L.A. then changes her name to Amber Marie or Jayde Dawn so she can......."model". So what is that balance?

  • @drbayoms Why do you automatically assume I agree with "glamour models"? I can't stand them. I think they are a waste of space but it's their FREEDOM to do so. The "models" choose to do it. As you specified in your outlines "1) KEEPING women wrapped in sheets". There is no CHOICE in Saudi Arabia.

  • @drbayoms

Why is it illegitimate to allow people to make that choice? Just because we dislike something does not give us a right to ban it. In order to make a law prohibiting action it should be the case that a demonstrative harm is inflicted that outweighs the personal utility that is gained. If the case cannot be convincingly made that the harm is so massive that it is in the public good to prevent this action then there is no good reason for banning the action. Dissaproval is not enough

  • @Ch3ls4wy Just saw this "Women are not allowed to drive because they don't want to" Seriously, wtf? Make it legal for them, and see how many want to drive.

  • @NickyLess Yeah , You're right , I was wrong to clarify this point. I mean , that there is a lot of saudi women don't want to drive. But there is also a lot want to '' including '' my mother for example , but as i said there is a stupid guys which have the power don't wont to not because the ISLAM , No , not at all , its because some culture they don't want it to change. in short lines , Some Saudi are afraid to CHANGE that's all.

  • @Ch3ls4wy I'm really not saying it's followers of Islam. The complete cover up of women isn't sanctioned in the scripture (my friends are islamic and wear whatever they want). It's a cultural thing that NEEDS to change. It NEEDS to change to stop more girls dying in fires, to stop girls (and women) being beaten by their family for "shaming" them. Women are equals to men. Not 2nd class citizens. It NEEDS to change. It's the 21st Century, not the 12th.

  • @Gtfc27

That reminds me of a West Wing episode. When CJ wants both turkeys pardoned because she got attached to them both. And the guy won't let her kept the second one unless the president pardons it. Bartlet yells how he really doesn't have the power to pardon turkeys.

  • I didn't realize this was actually based on a real event until someone mentioned it. I was horrified to learn that this was true. I honestly can't believe anyone would let innocent children burn alive because they weren't wearing the "proper clothing".

  • Junky, she is saying" Bonnie then Scot"t- the next two press corp to ask questions.

  • @lottalettuce Thanks! Years of getting used to Sorkin and Schlamme's writing has taught me to have an ear for fast-talking, (and the occasional errant references) so I thought she was saying the name of an author. lol. (I especially like the 'walk-n-talk' scenes) :)

  • I've searched high and low for every spelling of Bonnie Lynn Scott.(Mentioned at the end of this) Can anyone tell me why C.J. says this name? What it's in reference to?? I'll be grateful for the help. :)

  • They seem to act as though Saudi's were totally cool with what happened and not outraged.

I can at least vouch for the fact that over the last 5-6 years the religious police have gradually being weakened.

If you don't - or - don't want to believe me, go search religious police in Saudi on Youtube. if your seeing it.. millions of Saudi's are seeing it as well.

Thank God for cell phones with cameras.

  • @NeoGuardian21 Don't make it right. These are government employees, and she's maligning the government.

  • @SamiZaatari No no, beheading them and then beating women for wearing the wrong clothes is completely fine.

  • @SamiZaatari the problem is not the sentence per see but the judicial system that they operate in. three women have to testify to equal a man, and there are clear social and legal imbalances between men and women, such as fathers can freely kill their daughters, they can prevent them from getting married so to continue to appropriate their salaries, and men can simply kick the women out of their house without allowing them any financial compensation or access to their savings.

  • @cameron120587 That is all true, except the sentence is a problem as well. Beating and /or burning girls to death for not wearing the proper clothes? Beheading someone for stealing? The system they have can hardly be called one of justice, but even if someone did steal something, beheading them for that is insane. Beheading anyone is insane.

  • Listen..... I think that beheading people who rob, rape and traffic drugs is a GOOD thing.

  • @chrissline77 yeah cos that is just so fucking civilised!

  • @chrissline77 maybe you should move there honey if you think it's so great. But no more watching YouTube vids for you - because it's banned in Saudi Arabia!

  • Comment removed

  • Left wingers are spineless. No REAL liberal spokesperson would say this. They would wiggle out of it so not to offend Saudis.

  • @BelieveIt1051 Its a fuckin show man! I doubt the Saudis know it existed

  • No, I'm saying that this would never happen in real life. No liberal spokesperson would say something like that for real.

  • @BelieveIt1051 Any spokesperson from any party would "wiggle" out of that question.

  • Dana Perino wouldn't.

  • @BelieveIt1051 Ya right...She didn't even know about the Cuban missile crisis. This was the spokeperson for the President?

  • Assuming your accusation against her is correct, what does ignorance of one historical event out of many have to do with her character and integrity in standing up for what is right?

  • @BelieveIt1051

(chuckle) Like right-wingers have ever stood up to the Saudis. GW Bush was too busy sucking up to them to stand up to them.

Where does this bizarre idea that right-wingers are tough guys when it comes to dictators? Reagan and the first Bush were too busy propping up Saddam Hussein to be taken seriously when they finally started criticizing him. Reagan was the best friend Ferdinand Marcos had... Noriega too. Don't forget the terrorists Reagan funded in Central America...

  • Rudy Gulliani told them to take their check and shove it when they tried giving us money for the 9/11 attack in New York.

Reagan propping up dictators? I have four words for that. "Tear down this wall."

    watch?v=YtYdjbpBk6A

  • @BelieveIt1051

I remember when Reagan made that speech. It was ridiculous then and anyone with an ounce of common sense knows it. The idea that Reagan had *anything* to do with the destruction of the Berlin wall (or the downfall of the USSR) is ludicrous.

What isn't ludicrous is Reagan's record of support for dictators like Marcos, Hussein, Pinochet, Duvallier, etc. as well as his support for terrorism in Central America...

  • HA! The wall fell because Reagan gave that speech. What Reagan said didn't matter? Tell that to the people in the crowd who cheered him. You're just historically ignorant.

  • @BelieveIt1051

You can't say that the Berlin Wall fell because Reagan made that speech *and* call someone else "historically ignorant".

The idea that Reagan's silly little speech influenced the fall of the Berlin Wall in any way is preposterous. What caused the fall of the Berlin Wall were political changes in Hungary, Poland and East Germany that Reagan did nothing to affect.

But at least you acknowledge Reagan's support for dictators and terrorists.

  • @Gwynne66 I'm no fan of Regan, but he did have some effect on the wall coming down. But he was just carrying on with US policy since the start of the Cold War. The US knew it could exhaust the Soviet Union financially through an arms and technology race. The Soviet Union ran out of money to maintain its strangle hold on its own republics or Iron Curtain occupied countries. This led to these countries breaking free. East Germany was the first to break free and the wall came tumbling down.

  • @Gtfc27 you do know that she is talking about Saudi Arabia, right, kiddo? (she even says so in this clip...try to pay attention)

  • Fourth most badass moment in the show's history.

  • The fire wasn't fictional.

  • I loved this moment for several reasons. Its not about stereotypes but about C.J in my opinion giving those girls, fictional or not a voice they had never had.

  • @Gtfc27 KNEW IT!!!!

  • @Gtfc27 This wasn't, you know, Qumar though...

  • is that real?

  • Wow. Just wow. Great acting.

  • I haven't read all the comments so I don't know if it was mentioned. But this was not a fictional fire, it happened in real life.

  • "They executed 121 people last year for robbery, rape and drug trafficking."

    So not all bad then. . . . . .

  • exactly not bad at all. at least the saudis execute their monsters. we give them welfare and a nice bed

  • I think that it is sad in a time when we know so much and consider ourselves to be so enlightened, we allow these types of attrocities to occurr. Whether done in the name of religious zeal or adherence to a policy by a government, allowing people to die is not right, it is inhuman and disgusting. But we have no choice but to turn the other way because we walk hand in hand with the Saudis as partners in the global economy. The Founding Fathers must be spinning in their graves to see this.

  • QUESTION FOR ZEITGESTWI:

    "allow"?

  • awsome enlgish you really have a nack for influencing people mabey you should go into politics? Waiting for my four letter response.... or some assumtion that I'm left of anything ... or maby something about my mother ? yawn

  • @prosperow You're not really...making an argument with this response, are you?

  • Amen.

  • Yes, the Saudi girls fleeing the fire didn't have time to grab the proper cover up clothes required, so they were left to burn to death in the building. Great partner we have in Saudi Arabia. Go green - we must cut off the monies supporting this depraved way of life which enslaves women, among other abuses.

  • well put.

  • "According to the al-Eqtisadiah daily, firemen confronted police after they tried to keep the girls inside because they were not wearing the headscarves and abayas (black robes) required by the kingdom's strict interpretation of Islam.

One witness said he saw three policemen "beating young girls to prevent them from leaving the school because they were not wearing the abaya".

This story was based on true events in 2002, check the BBC or any other news source

  • Actually, what she's saying is nothing short of the truth.

  • There's more to the situation than you see in this clip. The situation was that there was a fire in a girls' school. When rescue workers went in to save the girls, the religious police prevented them from saving girls who were not dressed according to the dress code, thus they were allowed to burn to death unnecessarily.

  • Actually, the Saudis have done exactly what was described in the clip.

  • This is absolutely my last comment on the subject, but I feel it's necessary. I do not think it is "normal" in any way to flog people because you don't approve of what they are wearing, whether there's a fire or not. Beating people as a form of law enforcement is barbaric no matter who is doing it.

  • No, it's telling the truth.

  • @capitalizmsux

Its based off a real event you twit and all the laws she stated are true in Saudi Arbia. Know your freaking facts dude.

  • Jesus Christ has returned. I AM.

  • Gotta love that "Brutus is an honorable man" part (comes from Mark Antony's speech defending Julius Caesar which pretty much started the 2nd Roman Civil War of 44-2 BC).

  • thats my favorite part of this clip too!

  • i love it when she begins to lay it down its like nothing short of the hand of god himself is going to be able to stop her

  • As much as I absolutely adore CJ's rant on Saudi Arabia, I can't help thinking that her fierce words would endanger a vital relationship with a country essential to the US economy.

When I look at the list of OPEC countries--Algeria, Angola, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, and others--it's enough to make me believe that the reasons to switch from oil as an energy source are more than just environmental.

  • CJ is good

  • Rather than being improperly dressed for 10 minutes............................

they have to be DEAD for the rest of eternity?

How many countries (of any religion) would be able to accept that letting humans run naked in a public place for less than 2 minutes is "the lesser of 2 evils" considering that irreversible physical damage to that human is the worse of the 2 evils?

  • NUDIST0885

    > Rather than being improperly dressed for 10min

    > they have to be dead for the rest of eternity?

Apparently, yes--in part to ensure a sufficient number of VIRGINS IN PARADISE to SUPPLY SUICIDE BOMBERS with their reward for martyrdom.

  • i fricken love CJ man!

  • What are you talking about? Judgment day won't be the end of time. You'll just start living one set moment of time (August 17th to the 31st) over and over again. Never becoming wiser catching on, always doing the same things over and over again forever.

  • of course it was. But I'll still bet more of them know about Idol than real stuff.
