    thank you.

  • Very, Very good closeup of the video!! We have them right here in our front yard. I feed them Thistleseed. They are the best!

  • Just spotted some of these Goldfinches at my feeders here in Georgia. Cool looking birds.

  • incredible close ups great video

  • Wow! What an excellent close-up on one of my favorite songbirds! I see this bird in my backyard every day in the summertime, and this video makes the bird seem really big! Even though they are actually quite small (around 5 inches long), they are still pretty birds!

  • what state is this? I live in Louisiana and trying to get them here, I here they come in the Fall. Can any give me idea about when to put the feeders out and where to hang them? Thanks! Love the video:)

  • Hi Tigerfan110, nice to meet you. I'm from Connecticut and they stay here all year long. I'm surprised to learn they visit louisiana only from fall to winter...All I know is that thistle is the magic ingredient for attracting them:D Come September I'd put up a thistle feeder....it might take a month for them to discover it but it is worth the wait:D

  • @seahue Ty!

  • Great video, love how close it was and the color is so bright. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you for watching and commenting:))

  • The Brighter the yellow of the males is a sign the older they are, young males are not totally yellow yet until second summer.... but these birds molt for winter as well.

  • Got a good shot at the Goldie..i have the reds coming around now, 6 of them

  • it is a light lemon yellow -- how lovely!

  • amazing closeup view, great video. love it!

    friend, ruben

  • A truly stunning bird and beautifully captured on film. 5 Stars any day of the week.

  • Just lovely! Love the goldies.:)

    5 stars!

    Take care.

  • great video. goldfinches are such beautiful birds.

  • I rescued a baby goldfinch out of a gutter. I looked down and thought it was just an ornament then it started to move. He was the size of a golf ball but not as pretty as this guy. I had to use a paint brush to feed him every other hour. I took him to a bird rescue where he was released back into the wild. Yay I always think about him when I see Goldfinches. : )

  • A truly mesmerizing video.

    Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.... :)

  • Thanx:)) I'm happy to share the beauty with you:)

  • Do you have safflowers?

  • Thnx for reminding me! I just bought some today. They are expensive so I get them as a treat every once in awhile.

  • Yay. I'm growing sunflowers for the birds. I wonder if I can grow safflowers. Hrm...

  • I really couldn't tell you....you know...you just made me realize that sunflower seeds come from sunflowers...:P

  • Do you offer them little napkins at the feeder? ;-)

He is truly a beautiful creature. And I'm so amazed at how detailed your close-ups are. Loved the way you ended it, too with the yellow and black. Nice one, David.

  • LOL at the napkin! Thank you for that Nom:)

  • It is a beautiful bird (^_^)/

  • Yes that is the prettiest of all!:)
