@Austin101123 Apart from the age limit being lower back then, there is another rule (at least in today's world, I don't know if this rule applied then) that you could be a year younger than the standard age limit if the competition is a year before the Olympics (when they would be old enough to compete). For example in the 2007 worlds Marine Petit competed while she was 14 turning 15 (age limit was 15 turning 16, but she was old enough in Beijing). The Olympics would be in Seoul in 1988.

Can't compete on a broken bone unless you have a ton of adrenaline rush. But the girl on vault, that was her first vault, the first guy on vault, that was his second I believe. Haha, but yeah, those girls did have some guts still competing I must admit.
