  • My Mexican grandmothers on both sides of my family would be proud of Dave and he pronounces the names correctly jajajaja

  • hmmmm...im from Calexico Ca...way back to my great-grandparents...never ate Black beans...and I never heard of chipotle sauce till I got older....(maybe black beans are appealing for the Puerto Ricans...undrstandable ) So, who are these guys...I dont recognize the names....anyways...when I go to NY ill check it out...hold the black beans please !

  • I really appreciate that an American brings mexican food to NYC. That's pretty cool. Keep up the good work.

  • Yeah....SD does have GOOD Mexican food! Lolitas is a good place to buy burritos, tacos el gordo have really good adobada tacos, and if you want tres leches you'll go to Mexico lindo.

  • obviously these guys are trying to be authentic to the So Cal taco shops their doing their own thing.

personally the best Taco Shops are in San Diego Ca, not even Los Angeles has the quality of Carne Asada burrito that San Diego Taco shops like adalbertos, robertos , etc produce.

A real Carne Asada burrito, is 4 simple things, 15 inch flour tortilla, pico de gallo, guacamole, and carne asada.

Plus the red Salsa makes the burrito hard to duplicate

  • its alll about that calexico cali 760 were the real mex food is at

  • props for this guy representin calexico ca

  • And you call this work? That envy, I want to work on this like you.

  • Werid not Calexico burrito that I make down home in Calexico BUT the food sounds good.

  • hey wtf! its a burro percheron!

  • arroz en un burrito es algo raro, pero bueno nunca he probado uno.

aqui lo q se hace es comer tortilla con cualkier alimento y ya!!!...

...se me antojo un taco, jaja.

  • Wish I would've thought of that - a Mexican food cart in NYC! But people I, too, am from SoCal (SD) and MANY places out here put rice in their tacos, burritos, etc. Doesn't mean you have to like it (I don't) and that it is/isn't authentic, but it's not a new concept created by these brothers. But people in NYC don't know differently (unless they're from Mex or any Mex border town) so they won't know whether or not rice should be in these dishes and they love what they're eating, just the same.

  • I am from Imperail Valley , county in CA.

  • Yeah, I'm from SoCal myself, and there shouldn't be any rice in the burritos. How dare they! Y'all don't know how to eat. Heh!

  • well at least they didn't put yellow cheese, sour cream, or lettuce.

  • im from Calexico...rice on a tortilla is not typically done in true mexican homes...a starch rapped in a starch? que es eso? too americanized i'd say.

  • im from calexico i never heard of this cart

    looks good

  • holly fuck! thats a big burrito

  • At least someone is offering carne asada in the East Coast. Carne asada is from the street but there isn't a lot of Mexican street food over there.

  • Looks real good, and better than what I can get here in Japan, but I agree with the above poster. San Diego style Taco shop burritos with only carne asada, guacamole, and salsa fresca only is where it's at. Rice and beans are on the side.

  • im form San Diego and rice in burritos is a no no....california burritos is whats good!

  • Dang I need some Mexican food!!

Once you leave SD, it starts getting TexMex than what ever else. My boss here in japan made Mexican food for a festival, but all it was was chili dog :(

Only kids from SD know what a cali burrito is, so people in NY will never know the joys ;D

  • Beans and rice are a cheap filler for burritos. IMO the best burritos are mostly meat and salsa/guac inside.
