  • What kind of girl gets drunk at what looks to be 11AM?

  • Isnt that Ellen from shortland street?

  • women wanted to be equal, let's hope they didn't think being a man brings only to one

  • lol its ms jones my teacher who was drunk driving

  • Haha, sweet acting Ms Jones!

  • Wow, awesome ad

  • Good ad. Is "drink drivers" what they call it in New Zealand though?

  • @loner1878 This is basically an example of the difference between American English and British English (spoken not just in the UK, but all of the old colonies too. When we used to own most of the world and you were all our bitches :-) )

  • @wuzzlevideos

Oh yeah, back before we handed you your asses in the war and the old british empire eventually crashed and burned. Good times those were, eh?

  • @loner1878 We deserved it, I guess. But I think we did spread some good around. It just... didn't end well :)

  • fuck i think this was in like 2001

  • do YOU remember freaky nancy?

  • Woman drivers.

  • *Closes car door* SURPRISE! FUCKIN' MISCARRIAGE!

  • I remember this on tv ages ago. :[ scary

  • ads like this never show in the us.

  • that can't be good

  • looks like you keep living or face the death by pulling that baby out!

  • Fuck! Scary ........

  • omg i remember this ad i hated it! its so horrible!

  • hahahahahaha touché

  • women never drive. (Law from an Arabian dictator.)

  • reminds me of the seatbelt one where the girl goes through the front window and lands as a bloody mess on the car in front.

  • yayyyyyyy v guys r nt da only drunk driverz :D

  • Or, apparently, drunk posters.

  • The red headed girl acted like she knew there was a baby in the back seat.

  • At 0:14 you can see the 'Baby On Board' sign in the rear window, and you can usually see baby seats through car windows.

  • :X just noticed now.

  • Comment removed

  • @Elantrix There was a baby on board sign.

  • I'm actually really grateful for this ad. Way too many drink-driving ads contain men acting all jack-the-lad and having "just one more, then". This shows that women can be just as thoughtless and stupid when it comes to issues like these.

  • That's the gold Toyota Corolla hatch? And the red Mitsubishi Magna wagon? Is that right?

  • Good ting the child survived. she's were she's supposed 2 b

  • As soon as this ad came out Shortland St. had a storyline similar to this where the woman was coming from a Champagne Breakfast.

  • ohh my god are u alright yehh she's going 2 say yes

  • I remember this being the summer 2002/2003 campaign. - as stastics from LTSA and NZ Police had proven that more women were being caught drink driving than guys and that a hard hitting campaign directed towards women was needed- especially as many women didn't realise how little they needed to drink to impair their driving.

It did work, there was another motorbike one- where a guy coming home from the pub over the limit knocks over his mate on a motorbike and kills him.

  • I'm pleased that I live in New Zealand, our speeding ads, drink driving ads and all our other ads like that, really get message across.

  • Yeah and its good they are staring to balance things abit by airing ads which encourage you not to drink and drive.

  • I know aye. My family from the US was visiting and they couldn't get over the billboards on the country roads.

  • it's burned from the waist down (burned from the waist down)

    *spooky tremolo effect*

  • My baby!!!!

  • No it aint typo... Wine drinking

  • at 58. women are DRINK drivers too.

    hmmmmmmmmmm typo?

  • Some people say drink driving, some people say drunk driving. Different countries do it differently.

  • No. It's not a typo. It's like the word "colour."

  • It's a European thing.

They say "Practise" instead of practice, "Favourite" instead of favorite, etc.

  • Did someone piss on your cheerios this morning? Christ, calm the fuck down. I guess the anonymity of the Internet makes you big and strong ROAAAAR.

It's in no way limited to New Zealand only, you New Zealander cunt. Lots of countries (most of them former UK colonies, as a matter of fact) spell words a little differently. So he was a little incorrect. Teach him the facts, and move on.

  • lol @ wuzzlevideos

  • don't worry they lazy as ever! they say Aluminum instead of the proper Aluminium... lol oh and Anarctic instead of Antarctic.

  • @ basset1hound007

No this doesn't involve New Zealand, It can happen globally any second now.

  • @SpamNapkin Actually, Practice and Practise are two different words. Practise is usually used for maths and practice is used for other things.

  • @warriorstar11 A better definition is that one is a verb and one is a noun.

  • @HELLO253 hw do u know that she's 58?

  • She was drinking??? and pregnant too ???

  • No, the woman who rammed into her had been drinking.

  • Oh, dear. Oh, dear!

  • I honestly think the baby would be okay. Takes a lot to hurt babies in the womb. My mum was in a car crash when she was pregnant with my brother. He's now 13 and completely healthy!

Still, this advert is very powerful and shocking. Makes the UK ones look like the Tweenies compared to ones in New Zealand.

  • No way, Tweenies don't use any CGI. Think! is more like My Parents Are Aliens.

  • Well, your brother was lucky. A pregnant woman can fall on her stomach and damage the baby. Since the woman was rear-ended so hard, her baby might be injured.

  • I liked this one as it really shocked me, they had by this stage got rather predictable but I did not expect the being pregnant thing. But its like an event when a new ad comes out, the news covers it and you sit eagerly watching tv to see if it's any good!

  • I'm sorry, dumbass people do dombass things.
