@loner1878 This is basically an example of the difference between American English and British English (spoken not just in the UK, but all of the old colonies too. When we used to own most of the world and you were all our bitches :-) )
I'm actually really grateful for this ad. Way too many drink-driving ads contain men acting all jack-the-lad and having "just one more, then". This shows that women can be just as thoughtless and stupid when it comes to issues like these.
I remember this being the summer 2002/2003 campaign. - as stastics from LTSA and NZ Police had proven that more women were being caught drink driving than guys and that a hard hitting campaign directed towards women was needed- especially as many women didn't realise how little they needed to drink to impair their driving.
It did work, there was another motorbike one- where a guy coming home from the pub over the limit knocks over his mate on a motorbike and kills him.
Did someone piss on your cheerios this morning? Christ, calm the fuck down. I guess the anonymity of the Internet makes you big and strong ROAAAAR.
It's in no way limited to New Zealand only, you New Zealander cunt. Lots of countries (most of them former UK colonies, as a matter of fact) spell words a little differently. So he was a little incorrect. Teach him the facts, and move on.
I honestly think the baby would be okay. Takes a lot to hurt babies in the womb. My mum was in a car crash when she was pregnant with my brother. He's now 13 and completely healthy!
Still, this advert is very powerful and shocking. Makes the UK ones look like the Tweenies compared to ones in New Zealand.
Well, your brother was lucky. A pregnant woman can fall on her stomach and damage the baby. Since the woman was rear-ended so hard, her baby might be injured.
I liked this one as it really shocked me, they had by this stage got rather predictable but I did not expect the being pregnant thing. But its like an event when a new ad comes out, the news covers it and you sit eagerly watching tv to see if it's any good!
pregnant women dont usually drive do they

At 0:14 you can see the 'Baby On Board' sign in the rear window, and you can usually see baby seats through car windows.

I'm pleased that I live in New Zealand, our speeding ads, drink driving ads and all our other ads like that, really get message across.

Yeah and its good they are staring to balance things abit by airing ads which encourage you not to drink and drive.

Some people say drink driving, some people say drunk driving. Different countries do it differently.
wuzzlevideos 4 years ago
No. It's not a typo. It's like the word "colour."
TheGodMar 4 years ago
It's a European thing.
They say "Practise" instead of practice, "Favourite" instead of favorite, etc.

No this doesn't involve New Zealand, It can happen globally any second now.
narutoeagle777 1 year ago
@SpamNapkin Actually, Practice and Practise are two different words. Practise is usually used for maths and practice is used for other things.
warriorstar11 6 months ago
@warriorstar11 A better definition is that one is a verb and one is a noun.
