I liked this back in 83' as the band sounded diff. than typical groups due to not being from usa , one reason. This was a good take, he looks & sounds good .No clue what he did after Krokus. honestly, Accept should'veasked him to join after UDO split. He has that "diff. " tone like UDO & a pretty good metal voice + proven hits.Maybe, he was asked & said, no....
wow!! never got to see krokus, but own a lot of their cds. listened to them alot in the eighties. would love to see some kind of tour, they obviously still got it!
I have watched this fifty times since I found this more artists should respond to our comments you guys need to make some new music your voice is trully exceptional
I saw them open for ted nugent ,and blackfoot in 1981 baltimore civic center got front row tickets the night of the show they all rocked Krokus was unknown they blew me away really want to see them again
Not to take anything away from Brian Johnson, ACDC went on to make some terrific music but Marc should have been the replacement for Bon. He is like Bon reincarnated with better control! Dare I say? Hmmm.... I mean no harm. You ROCK Marc!!! Thanks for keeping us old guys rocking away!!! Come tour AMERICA!!! PLEASE!!! More rocking songs like In My Blood!!!!!
Absolutely incredible. I listen to this unplugged version time and again, and am ready to listen again. I saw Krokus in the '80's and loved 'em. But this is impressive! Gives me the chills!
A video from a cool "jam" with my old buddies Tony Castell (left)and Dominic Favez (right) recorded during a Film-Fest in Solothurn, Switzerland, the birthplace of KROKUS
Tony plays Bass & Dom Rythym Guitar on the KROKUS *HELLRAISER* Album of 2006. We toured extensively around Europe etc...more Stories on the Krokus Website.
KROKUS will record a new album in 2012.
*LOUDPARK FESTIVAL* in Tokyo, Japa - October 15th, 2011...
@Icepacalapse Absolutely! He is one in a million! So many others worked outside of their range and trashed their voices, Marc didn't! He has an incredibly strong voice!
Damn - high school flashback for me, too. That first US release was the high point, but they went downhill afterwards, IMO - tried to be more "pop-like", like the LA scene. Shoulda stuck with the Headhunter-esque formula.
I toured for 16 years with a band out of the 80s all across the country an we played with bands that our sound guy would have the singers mic turned off.Funny as it may sound now one of them is on VH1 with his own show. This is great by a very underated 80s band.
In 2005, a VERY famous band came to town, 2 live monitor feeds were ran hot to a soundproof glass room behind the stage. 2 studio musicans sat inside the glass box watching a TV monitor of the show happening in front of them. As the famous guitarist and bass player played to a filled arena of fans, the 2 studio musicans in the glass box played their guitar parts for them. This is true. I have see this kind of stuff for so long. Thats why Krokus gets a big thumbs UP from me. Keeping it real
After all these years he can still hit the notes at 95-97%. Sense about '89, things have changed. More bands than ever are looping their live sound. Def Lep. (for example) loops their outfront sound by 12 and their monitors by 6. Its great to see someone that still has the pitch when most vocalist (for even 2000-2005) cant even hit a solid C or D. Givin his age and former roadlife, i think he is at the top of his game! Great band, great video.
To hear this song live in 1983 was awesome. Sometimes memories are so perfect that you don't dare try to reproduce them for fear they might be as good the second time around. Ya know?
actually i dislike it very much, watch it alot because he's so washed up, and fishman, i play guitar, drums, bass, i sing, i play piano, what do you do? Oh and i don't have any videos, i'm new to youtube bro, why don't you show some real talent, an i'll answer back bro, you have my word man!
This is hilarious, no good at all. has anyone noticed how his guitarist starts laughing at 45 or 46 seconds haha, this dude is the most washed up musician i have ever seen hahahaha!!!
@JimmyJames582 I noticed the smile too. I don't think he was laughing, just having a good time. These guys rock! They are a Heavy Metal band. They will sound a bit different unplugged. I liked the difference. Both of these guys are incredible guitarists!
I went to your channel to see what a musician who isn't "washed up" sounds like and couldn't find your videos... I did see you "liked" this video 4 times after the comment though... go figure. Cheers!
@zenveg Where's the autotune? Busy making pop-stars and rap-stars!
LOL!
If anybody would have tried using that crap back in the day, they'd have been called poser & false metal... and Man0waR would have shown up and killed them.
I've heard every Krokus album they have, and I know he sounds like Bon Scott. AGAIN, my question is did AC/DC just up and offer him the job without auditioning, or did he audition, then refuse the job? It would be stupid to audition for them and then say no. If he said no because he wanted to stay in Krokus, that would explain everything.
@stellastarr69 Agree with all of you re: Bon's voice double but he NEVER got an offer & there's no certainty he even auditioned. The whole process took months & bottom line with AC/DC was that if Malcolm & Angus hadn't seen or heard you before you had no hope. They ran into Brian Johnson late '70's at a Geordie gig & remebered him when he was invited to audition some 3 months after the process. it all clicked from there - there was never any offer to anyone else.
I read on Wikipedia that AC/DC offered Marc Storace of Krokus the job to be lead singer after Bon Scott died but he turned it down. He said he thought Krokus had a future ahead of them and he was his own singer, not a Bon sound alike. My question is did AC/DC come to him and offer him the job, or did Marc audition for them? Why audition and then turn the job down?
jkoruty...I was implying the dude on tour with Journey looks and sounds like steve...marc was better not replacing bon so he gave brian and himself a chance to make their own mark on music...
wow...ive never been a big krokus fan but i gotta say storace is amazing!! i mean after all these years damn impressive vocals, very nice to hear pretty much the opposite of what marc slaughter has left in the tank and what 15 years older thumbs up
HAHA the two playing guitars are not in the original band - they are too young, but Marc Storace (the singer) is like 50 or maybe close to 60, he goes back a long way, being in bands as early as the late 1960's. he was actually offered to be the lead singer of AC/DC after Bon died, but turned it down. He sounds great even today!
This song is proof of the talent they had back in the day. When I was in high school this tune was one of the big couple skates. It was so good even the kids that were not big metal fans liked to skate to this one. A good groove and hook with amazing lyrics. loved my 80s metal tunes.
DAMN!!!!! this sounds good!!! most bands cant pull off anything unplugged. The onlu other band that comes to mind that pulled off a unplugged this good was Great White......check it out i know its on YouTube.

powerful, powerful unplugged version....this is what the streets does, this is what everything does every night...in this very moment. Sometimes screaming cleanses you from every single frustration..even if you don't scream out loud physically.
It was good until the singer forgot the lyrics in the second verse. You can see the guitarist look at him like c'mon man it's your job to get the lyrics right... I was in a band and the singer couldnt remember the lyrics for shit. very frustrating.
The changes in the second verse were intentional. Listen again, it all ties together. If he forgot the lyrics he would not have kept the timing and cadence perfect.
well i disagree he did screw the lyrics up and if you go back to the comments a year ago somebody else agreed with me also. it was their biggest hit and he choked the lyrics granted their are alot of words to this song but Marc wrote them so you gotta remember them. and being a musician myself i know you can screw the words up but stay in time by waiting for the music to catch up and such.
I liked this back in 83' as the band sounded diff. than typical groups due to not being from usa , one reason. powerful, powerful unplugged version....this is what the streets does, this is what everything does every night...in this very moment. Sometimes screaming cleanses you from every single frustration..even if you don't scream out loud physically.

I agree. If you like the old metal unplugged, check out Judas Priest Diamonds and Rust acoustic. It's pretty impressive.
