The original game was hard on the hardest difficulty. Instead of being hard, this game is just cheap. Hardcore mode isn't even the same as Zealot...

@MrMica147 No, I do not find it awesome to be over powered... Being OP simply takes out all the fun of the game. I see the foam finger as being fun for 5 minutes. But it's not the foam finger that is the problem. It's the fact that you have to play through the entire game on 3 saves. Now, because HC is basically the normal setting, just with 3 checkpoints, you're left to die at the cheap sections of the game. It's just a terrible decision on the game developer's behalf.

a tip for health is for 5000 use respec at the bench on your rig if you upgraded your hp than leave the bench go back to it and put the nodes back to the rig and you get full health

btw, your first save should be in, i think its chapter six, when you for the second time enter the big, open room, where all the Leapers (fast crawling guys) attack you, and the second should be chapter 12, before you enter the eye-needle machine (it's kinda hard to hit the first few tries, i failed a lot of times on normal), and the last i highly reccomend before the fight with Nicole.

@Madmongul theres a download pack if your on xbox i think its on ps3 aswell i dont know , think its the supernova pack or something. you get the "bloody force gun" for free in the store at chapter 1 , i got all 3 dlc's on xbox360 it has a range of armours that help give extra bonuses. sure is making my hardcore run alot easier

Key with the tormentor is speed, just shoot it as fast as you can, because you get 4 seconds for each time you shoot his arm. Also, when he's chasing you you can stasis him and then kenesis the door.

so I decided to use my first save right before the tripod brute guy cause 1 spider hasn't upload part 7 and 2 I had a bad feeling something might happen. I managed to beat the guy without any problems but as soon as Isaac smashed through the window the game froze so I officially feel like the luckiest person ever right now =D

Liitle tip i picked up from DS 1: when you go inside the elavator with the surprise necromorph, shoot the panel above you that he busts through BEFORE you start the elavator. If you do this, he won't spawn at all so you can save some ammo and possibly health.

That creatures is actually called The Tormenter and it's the only one you run into in the game. The shoulders are wider then the Brute and it has more legs then the Tripod.

You saves should be around chapter 7, 12 (or chapter 11 just before you go into the room - chapter 12 is where you stand on top of the digger and break into the government area) and before cross my heart and hope to die, where you get into the machine where you stick a needle in your eye (don't know the exact chapter). I personally saved at chapter 12, 13 and 14 =/

If you want another source for the hardcore walkthrough i would say go watch landscape97's videos. The difference is there are no ads on his vids(im guessing a youtube share owner), He starts off without any of those extra stuff like the force gun and the zealot suit, He is probably the best player at dead space 2 ive seen on youtube, the videos aren't fast-forwarded, the videos are long(some over a hour), and no commentary...Nothing against you spyder but your not posting the vids
