After Effects has a masking option that you can draw with a pen tool. Does FCPX have anything similar. The circle/square mask is too limited.

can you explain the point of created a compound clip on just one layer? why couldn't you just apply the effects to an uncompounded clip?

I didn't even think about doing any kind of layered effects in final cut pro x, but this isn't bad at all. If you could do any more tutorials for fcpx and/or motion that replicate jobs that would normally be done using after effects such as this one, that would be nice. Great Job.

GREEN SCREEN TUTORIAL PLEASE!!! Not just a standard one, an in depth one with multiple-cut footage. Not just doing a one clip edit. Im having trouble figuring out how to apply effect to multiple clips rather than one long clip...

Tutorial Request - Hi Dan, would it be possible for you to run through the easiest way to blur out number plates in Final Cut Pro X? The shots I have are in moving shots, i.e. people walking past or walking along with the car's number plate in the background.
