the wilsons are the beachboys mike love is nothing without them .i seen them at least 11 time's in my life time and they sure are not the same without al and the wilsons
The verdicts in by all of your posts. Us real Beach Boys Fans know the difference. No WILSONS, No Al Jardine, No Beach Boys. This absolutely sucks. I think I am going to run to the crapper and throw up. I saw them a few years ago at a free concert. They were terrible. Looking forward to The New 50th Anniversary Tour with Al and Brian. I got my tickets today for the show in Conn. Can't wait. Carl and Dennis will be there in Spirit. Mike G. Drums and Percussion. R.I. Big Beach Boys Fan.
I will consider going to their concerts providing they stop wearing those fucking rediculous caps with "The Beach Boys" logo a-la 15 Big Ones, it looks so stupid...
Ego Mike love wants to credit for everything, he seems to forget BRIAN-CARL-DENNIS-AL had a HUGE part in the sucess of the Beach BOYS, NOT THE JAN & DEAN CLONES they ARE NOW!
@guitarlad89 Don't laugh, I saw them in Chattanooga (Riverbend festival) last summer with John Stamos and they were really good! John was a big hit with the women in the crowd. ha I have some videos on my channel if you want to see them. I also saw them in Atlanta at a theater but concerts in theaters are just strange. It's much better at an outdoor music festival.
Many of the rock groups have corporate sponsors for their tours. Jimmy Buffett has been sponsored by Corona for years. I think Virgin Records or Airlines has sponsored the Stones Tours.
I understand that the Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Tour is going to be sponsored by Depends... LOL.
@alienhuman You've got that right! Nothing against Mike and Bruce, but ONE original member with one long-time fill-in does NOT make the Beach Boys. If Brian Wilson and Al Jardine BOTH join the 50th anniversary tour, that MIGHT be acceptable. But really when Carl died, so did the Beach Boys. THIS line-up is not even as good as some of the tribute bands. But it amazes me that people still pay to see this wannabe group. And please.. Stamos adds anything except to his own inflated ego.
@ROCKSTARCRANE Haha that's John Cowsill from the Cowsill's, he's in his mid 50's and has been in music since the 60's. Agreed though he does play like Dennis.
Good Vibrations will always suck without Carl singing. lets face it without the true voices of the Beach Boys in attendance it will only be a sad copy of their greatness
@iowa61 Don't worry bro, the real 50th Anniversary tour starts next year with Mike, Bruce, Brian, Al, and even David Marks together. Not bad, all 5 of the remaining classic members. Maybe we'll get lucky and see Blondie and Ricky show up.
Sorry this not a true Anniversary with out Brian, AL and David Marks. Why does Mike waste his time with it. Should be called Mike Love has been Singing the Beach Boys for 50 years show
@AxlFaux1 There may be a REAL anniversary show next year. Heck, I hope they bring back Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar while they're at it, and Brian's good friend and bandmate Jeff Foskett along with Matt Jardine to help with falsetto.
@thefonz003 Now THAT would be a line-up worth seeing, but ONLY if they rehearse to the level of Brian's band before they hit the road. For so many years, the Beach Boys SLOPPED their way through their hits and got away with it because people loved them so and sang along. Hell, if you could get ALL 4 ORIGINAL BEATLES together again, it would sound like shit if they didn't rehearse. If the Beach Boys want to go out on a high note, FUCKING REHEARSE!!!! BRIAN'S shows are incredible! Why not the BBs?
This has been flagged as spam show
Stamos is underrated. Hey may not be the composer that Brian was but his prowess on bongos is unequalled.

This isn't right. Are we raking in the bucks for retirement? Doesn't even sound right.

That's crap. Bring Brian and Al back, and even maybe David. That would be the closest they'd ever come. Carl and Dennis are truly the spirit.
