What MIDI interface are you using? Appears to have tracked very well. I am considering a Roland GR-20 and attaching a MIDI to USB converter to input to my computer. I only play acoustic guitar right now. I was wondering if this is what you used...GR-20. I use Guitar Pro 5 which WILL NOT read MIDI input from a MIDI guitar. They say GP6 will. Thank you for the video!! -Derek

this appears to just be guitar pro with better sounding instruments...i have not done any research so correct me if i'm sorely mistaken

Actually you are pretty much right, I have played with GP but its tracking via a MIDI guitar was no where near as good as Prog. Not only that, but as you said the samples are much better. I think its a step up from GP but I do miss some of the other features of GP...

Thanks! I use a MIDI equipped Fender Strat into a Roland GI-20. You can do this with an acoustic. I believe Godin makes a steel string that has the MIDI pickup built-in although from what I remember it is more of a hybrid than a trad. steel string guitar. Otherwise you would have to get a GK3 pickup and stick it on your guitar. Either way, it is doable.

Yeah, I ca't tell you where to find a torrent but you can get a demo CD from the website if you want to try it before you buy.

Why did you export the tab as a pdf? Why not a ptb or gp# so it can be listened to/played along with instead of just looking at it.

No particular reason, other than the demo version I was using didn't export to ptb or gp3. I thought it would be easier for most people to just print it out and use it that way.
