dude, you have managed to fit a boatload of railroading into a GARAGE.....im with drew, ur on fire. chillin and operating trains on your layout would just rock.....
Dude nice layout ! I love all the industries but I feel like the area past the high way is a little busy haha alot of tracks in that area .. Great layout though man nice work, may be you should play around with the idea of normal through yard instead of a stub ended one. Love the updates keep them coming !
@shlutzday I agree. I used to have the gravel factory there and ended up turning it into a little storage yard...quite honestly, i'm not really happy with it...Maybe some more industry?
@bnsf9842 I was thinking somewhere in or just outside the SF Bay Area maybe some Roseville/ Sacramento Valley and Sierra Nevada influence. It is pretty much prototype freelance with UP power. I would like to add some BNSF to the mix they do have an Intermodal terminal in Oakland right next to UP's Intermodal. Also I want to pick up some Rio Grande and patch them too.
@MrLocomechanic Yes and no, $40 bucks or so for 5 sheets and the sheets are 36" x 11 3/4" so the sheets go a long way. But I have spent a lot of money on cork.
@nilmadic dude you arent gonna believe this but i just found 4'x1/4" CORK ROLL pretty much the same stuff that you use for model railroad bed for 12.49 buy it now free shipping!!! get on ebay and type in cork board i got over 1900 results im sure there is different thicknesses! hope this helps!
@nilmadic yeah i know but shit dude as long as you stick to 1 size or figure out a way to blend the sizes it could work out and save a lot of money its worth looking into for sure! buy in bulk big rolls save money and cover more area sounds good to me!
I must be happy with my layout with 260 cm x 210 cm at the roof of a room (motorized, can see it in my channel). I see all this space and is a dream for me. Congratulations and good job.
@nilmadic you should get some, i know walthers makes them but there hard to come by. theres always a string of them in santa clara, either waiting for up to pick them up or be taken to the quarry
I think if you still plan to put that transfer table in behind the engine house then the sand and fuel would be fine where its at i think! your new engine looks great too!
You are certainly moving along at a quick pace. Your layout is looking very, very good and will definitely give you oodles of operating scenarios - well done. I like how you are re-arranging things.
ur layout looks amazing..

Looks great. The aggregate facility looks better, it looked a little cluttered before.
