Wow, people sure are retarded sometimes. I scored a similar backhander from deep in the faceoff circle on All Star a week ago. It's not a glitch; it's rare, but it happens in real hockey too.

Here's why it worked. The player cycles the puck and gets the D out of position. Pause the video at exactly 10 seconds in. Look at that screen! The goalie barely saw it coming.

I'll never understand what it is about the NHL series that makes people talk trash and put down awesome goals.
