this move is classic and Lord of the rings didnt go by the book this movie was short prolly because of money issues it takes alot of money too make a movie and the way this was done it would take alot if you wanted a book verson go read it then!!! and stop posting tis is terrible and this sucks balls okay shaakitbob8557 and giffinmaster99 if you didnt like it then why did you take the time out of your day too look it up?
I love the part where Gandalf explains to Bilbo the "....management of luck for you're own sole benefit?" It is one of the most profound observations a person can hold, and the door that it opens, if pursued, is a startling yet comforting and amazing one in deed.
ive never seen that before...pretty terrible really but bits of it were good, im looking forward to the film but i hope they make it funny and dont overdo the sauron beggining stuff that was deep in the backstory and have less crappy songs...
Oh for the good old days when they played movies like this annually on the TV. Course we only had 3 channels plus PBS back then so the nostalgia doesn't stand up to logic. ;) But still. ;)
It's great to see this old bugger of a film and still find it still a pretty damn good flick to kick my heels up on. Glad one part of my childhood didn't get corrupted.
I Hope Peter Jackson depicts Gandalf getting the map and key from Thrain II in Dol Guldur and The White Council's Battle to Drive The Necromancer from Dol Guldur
Oh yes, because when you have a ring of awesomeness that makes you entirely invisible, the first thing you do is place it in a glass case and keep it as a souvenir. Duh!
"and in due time your future family members will be thrown down ditches and be almost burned to a crisp destroying that dam ring... Yes a nice beginning" the very pissed off Gandalf haha! It was epic though

Child of the kindly West, I have to know if more of us valued your ways, food and cheer above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.
Truer words have never been spoken.

Poor Fili and Kili in the books. I feel kinda sad that they'll both die in The Hobbit Part 2.
