tell me this... animals or no animals... why the fuck would you want to put up with shit like this.
my fiancee has 2 cats, and when i proposed to her i told her that shes not bringing her cats into our house. this would be a relationship breaking decision for me. i cant handle sneezing every 2 seconds for the rest of my life.
I just found out I am very allergic to cats and my allergist said that I need to get rid of my cats but I just don't have the heart to do that so I'm trying to find a way to keep them and minimize my allergy :(

At first every accidental scratch from playing or love bite used to cause a big welt and become very itchy but now that it's not itchy. I still get welts, like I do anytime I get a scratch be it from being clumsy with my furniture, my dog or my cat but they don't really itch anymore. I also take singulair and I'm pretty fine now. I've had her for 2 weeks and she's a regular DSH rescue.
So it is possible to have a cat if you're committed to preventing allergies. She also gets wiped down with a allergen serum. So why all the trouble you may ask? because she's the sweetest cat I've ever met and I was able to give her a good home. But I'm slowly becoming desensitized, and soon I predict I won't have any reaction to her at all. Case closed with a few sniffles :)

I use a fur cleaner on my cats that helps kill the dander, and in the summer I have to keep on top of cleaning the house a TON and changing the bed sheets every 3 days or even every other day due to the cats. (I grew up with cats sleeping on my bed, but some days they are kicked out due to allergies)
i'm allergic to cats :/ reactions are just like those (but only if i'm really long time in a room with a cat, or if I pet it and don't wash my hands after it) so annoying, because i really love cats, it's my fav animal in the world!<3 And I really want my own cat but we live in a small house so it could get too disturbing with the allergy.. we may still try to take a kitten.. i'm not sure.. I just love em so much i cant watch all my friends having cute cats and not have my own.. 8(
i think is a wonderful idea to have a cat house cause your allegy can get really bad if they are walking around the house thnk god i am not allergic to any animal i want to be a vetenerian

@nofiction yeah my friend has 3 cats and it get's so bad at night because i sleep on a blow up bed really close to the floor and i think im alergic to its sirliber because they lick there fur then drop it only thing that gets me through the night is flu tablets and vicks vapour drops and i feel sorry for people who own cats with allergy because to be honest i could not handle feeling like this every day and the worst thing is it basically cripples you from doing anything because you nose and eye

I was considering taking allergy shots for pet dander so that one day i can own a cat or dog. I hear it you have to take the shots every week for at least 4-5 years before you become allergy free. I wonder if it works. Does anyone know?
i'm actually allergic to pet dander which can be found on any animal...but I find if I take Zyrtec and keep the cats and dog clean they don't bother me :)

I just found out I am very allergic to cats and my allergist said that I need to get rid of my cats but I just don't have the heart to do that so I'm trying to find a way to keep them and minimize my allergy :(

i think is a wonderful idea to have a cat house cause your allegy can get really bad if they are walking around the house thnk god i am not allergic to any animal i want to be a vetenerian

I have it too and it just makes me crazy. I usually end up with a swolen face, fever, running nose and red, itchy eyes. Nice ! :)

Dogs and guinea pigs make my face itchy, if I get them close to my face, but I can live with them. And rats are perfect for me.
