its very hard to top what u do on a CD were there are many of effects then LIVE were its just your talent and the way u change the song just alil and they do that just fine the performance was very gud and they didnt use any effects they just did their talent

no you dont use compression on drums, thats why you use condensor mics. it does mask their talent seeing as none of them even know where any of the other people are, they are all playing so off. the drummer straight up sucks, something no effects will hide. the crowd knows they suck too, seeing as no one is into it.

you just proved his point. they arnt good enough to be straight up good, so they have to use all the effects. i am a music producer and the only effect i put on my stuff is reverb. it just proves they arnt consistant as a band.

Then you're limiting yourself, effects do not mask talent at all, so you're saying if you're recording a drum track you wont use compression at all? Because thats an effect and if you don't use compression then you can't be very good, i thought this was a good performance. And a lot of the time the live sound is not as good due to the acoustics of the venue
