@fjbutch Any country teaches only what they want. Not just Japan. In the US, you don't hear much about the firebombings of Japan and the amount casualties and the after-effects of the A Bombs. Nor do you hear a lot about the concentration camps that Japanese Americans were placed in and the amount of prejudice they received. It's just the way it is. In war, all sides commit atrocities, it's just at the leisure of the winners on what's taught and told.

Even the concentration camp in Auschwitz,well known for the holocaust,could barely kill 710 a day. Japanese troops stay 6 weeks in Nanking。7×6＝４２．300,000 ÷ 42= 7,142. In order to kill 7,142 a day, than 10 facilities like ones in Auschwitz would have been needed. Of course no such facilities were to be seen in Nanking.
