  • This is my all time favorite Dr. Seuss animated special due to messed up it is xD

  • I watched this years ago with my brother when we were little after our mom checked this out at the library. Except I always wondered if they should've made it into a book, but they didn't.

  • Pontoffel's voice reminds me of Silver the Hedgehog for some reason.

    Plus, Groogen looks so AMAZING.

  • @MovieMan1065 True. But when I heard it, I was thinking of James Franco or Chris Evans, but I'm not exactally sure who the name of the man who voiced him was. Do you?

  • pull on the Pull'em and Push on the push'em x 999999999989

  • Original title: "Pontoffel Pock, You Stupid Fuck!" Just another moron for the welfare state to take care of.

  • @joecassara Was that really the original title?

  • Yesss! My sister and I used to watch this on VHS when we were kids!

  • Better than any Hollywood scify Movie!!!

  • Dr suess is Genius!!!

  • Push on the Pull'em and Pull on the Push'em

    Welcome to un-employment dumbass

  • Dr.Seuss is so talented. R.I.P Dr.Seuss.

  • One my favs!!!!!

  • I used to play "C-C-C-D-Eb-E" over and over again when I was a kid after watching this, and get really mad because my piano never flew.

    Ah memories.

  • Pontoffel Pock(w/Hebrew Subs)

    Studio:Sisu Home Entertainm

    VHS Release Date:February 7 1995

  • Pontoffel Pock, where are you for nintendo game boy, game boy color, snes, game boy advance, playstation 2, wii

  • That's an unfortunate design flaw. A lever breaks and the plant floods.

  • Pontoffel Pock as 100%

  • Dr. Seuss was a Genius .

  • Yep.

  • Anyone else see the parallels between Pontoffel and Fry from Futurama?

    -Orange hair

    -Loser

    -Idiot

-Finds a fantastic escape to a radically different place

-Meets a girl in this new place that he fawns over

  • @lardman101 Well, the only thing that's missing on Pontoffel is the James Dean outfit from "Rebel without a Cause"... which Fry wore. Other than that, it could be a coincidence...

  • @TelevisionFTW1

Haha, oh I'm fairly certain it IS a coincidence, it's just a fun observation.

  • @TelevisionFTW1

Who's to say Pontoffel's not a relative of Fry? It could be from his mother's side, after all.

  • uh, oops?

  • The imagery in this film is later reused in "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"

    ...not that anyone notices...

  • this is my favorite Dr. Suess

  • Why did Mr. Gill Gickler snatch the Dill Pickle Badge from Pontoffel Pock?

  • @carlitosbug Cause he pushed on the pullum and pulled on the pushum. Pulled so muchum that he broke-um the building..... um.

  • I've seen this with many, many cuts...

6:58 Personally, there are a few technical flaws with this scene. First, Pontoffel has to find the C key. Secondly, once he's found the C key, he's most likely to miss the D sharp at that point. But it's nothing to scream about...

9:41 Why do I think Ted wanted a goat there instead of a cow? I mean, "Goat's milk is higher than ever..." but not many people have heard of milking goats...

...where can you get this show's script?

  • I haven't seen this in AGES! i was in PRESCHOOL

  • why did you change the names of the videos? ;-;

  • i wish i had a piano like that so i can get away

  • He couldn't even fill one jar. I did better than that at the hospital.

  • i need that piano...

  • I have NEVER seen this before so its a treat to be able to watch it now and in such good quality.

Can I just ask, is this guys house the house of the onceler from The Lorax? Take a good look at it.

  • @Orochi2345678

Hard to say. The Oncler's place was originally clean and bright, but got run down afterward. Pontoffel sings about the "house that my parents had left me"; the Oncler's relatives are shown but I don't recall that he had children himself.

Too, he seems to have green fur, and we never see his face, while Pontoffel is fully seen and fully human. Maybe the Pocks moved into Oncler's house to help clean up the mess he made..

  • what would you need a quick trip around the house button for??

  • @snowboarddmonkey1 free samples?

  • Comment removed

  • This brings me back!

Although I never realized what a jack-ass Pock truly is, "Just pull on the pull-em, and push on the push-em, and the pickles go into the jar!" How did he manage to screw that one up?

I guess it worked out in the long-run.

  • very nice to have it in hd ! :)

  • @krimskrams Yep... I'm the person who loves HD!

  • I loved this wen I was little! U still know all the songs! ")

  • Another Seuss special I loved as a kid! And imagine, as long as you remember that you pull on the Pullum and push on the Pushum, that pickle job would probably be one of the easiest in the world. XD

  • Say FTW, what DVD is this special paired with? It's not the "The Lorax" DVD...

  • @HazyChase20 Well, you can get what I got: "Seuss Celebration." From Universal, this is an excellent collection of classic 1970's Dr. Seuss cartoons that you grew up with: 3 hours worth, actually. See all of my uploads: that's where it came from: this one DVD.
