You know, I saw a billboard driving through Virginia a while back that said "Got God?" Like the got milk stuff... okay that's fine. But about another mile down the road another sign with the same design on it said, "No? Then you're going to hell", I just see it as important to point out that it was offensive to me, yet I didn't pull over and vandalize it.

Actually, no. He didn't. It was Paul, long after Jesus' death, who went around spreading HIS version of what Jesus did & didn't do. What today is called Christianity is, in reality, Paulism. Do some research, especially into the translations of the Dead Sea scrolls, you'll be amazed. Not that it'll change anything - pseudo-Christianity is way to entrenched to admit anything of that nature.

There isn't a religion in the world that doesn't have blood on it's hands, but even Google and Hollywood is afraid of Islam. They removed a scene from 2012 where Mecca was destroyed because of fear for their lives. They were afraid of being murdered! Go to google and type in "(Christianity or Judaism or buddism etc) is" and see what comes up then type islam is and you will see what I mean.

You know, I saw a billboard driving through Virginia a while back that said "Got God?" Like the got milk stuff... okay that's fine. But about another mile down the road another sign with the same design on it said, "No? Then you're going to hell", I just see it as important to point out that it was offensive to me, yet I didn't pull over and vandalize it.

my very first line ..I can only speak for myself. There are other areas of respect. I respect my neighbors. I resepct my co-workers. I respect the Laws-don't always agree with them but i abide by them. I like to feel I am a person who respects many different aspecs of many things. Why do you call religion a scam? I go thru this with my 18 yr old son. He believes in a creator..wont call him God. He tells me the Bible is "only a story" I dont bash him over the head and throw him out of the house. Its my freedom of religion, in my country where I live. If someone bashing religion offends me..I turn away from it. We all have that choice.....for now. I have a bad feeling how they want to remove Christianity and they are succeeding. But not for me!! I will not let go of my faith.

The entire immaculate conception notion is one of the most prudish concepts ever devised. Classical Gods, for instance, quite openly had sex with mortals.

I believe in God and Jesus. In the bible, what I see is that it was an immaculate conception, meaning pure in spirit - not from lust. The "virgin" interpretation is just that, interpretation.
Christians don't own Jesus or the scripture used in the bible and I think we all have the right to disagree with their take.

If certain Christians dont want to be generalized by those condemning people to hell, why dont we see any diversity? Where are the Christians who are pro-gay rights for example... Christians who understand that their beliefs (however valuable to them) shouldnt be imposed on others?
Most will stay quiet because in the end of the day they dont care about that shit since it aligns to their beliegs anyway. So in actuaity, those christians are not that far off from the Phelps for example.

You know, alot of the times I would like to just brush things off and shrug my shoulders; but if people are being misinformed about God, the Bible, etc, then someone has to correctly inform them.
There are WAY too many people whose only concept of God comes from Dante's Inferno, misdirected word of mouth, etc.
No, I am not going to get all up in your face, but yes, if given the opportunity we should let people know the right information.
