  • yeah its british, and us brits dont use crapy automatics! we use real gear boxes!

only when they sent them over to the US they put an auto box in it as you yanks cant use a stick shift haha

  • @JAMlE1 I'm American and I love Stick shift

  • @JAMlE1 um... bitch no. i can drive a manual transmission. I prefer it, it lasts longer

  • javaleira they are perment 4 wheel drive the transfer gear box is for high and low ratio

  • Great machines, always have been, always will be.

Shame I'll never be able to afford one :D

  • That looked like Loch Ness in the end!

  • "Now you know what you'll see in a RANGE ROVER..." thats just fucking BRILLIANT!!

  • omg !!! i love this !!!XXxxx

  • i love these old range rovers!! ^_^

  • why they have 2 transmisions? manual and automatic?

  • one is the transfer box for high /low range and centre diff lock the other is the main automatic gearbox

  • no they have 2 wheel drive, but when u want four wheel drive u use the smaleer transmission.

  • @javaleira What?

  • @GPatuleiaMarques wtf u doing replying to my 1 year old comment? fking nerd

  • @javaleira Não precisas de falar assim oh atrasado. Não te ensinaram boas maneiras em casa?

  • @GPatuleiaMarques wtf u speaking fking brazilian ass! no i had no education at home, i was usually at ur house fucking ur mother .i. dont reply if u think im wrong

Adorei a tua resposta.

  • hey, that thing got manual transmission!!

  • What year is it? The speedo is a 1987, the grille is pre 1986. And there is no cover over the fuel filler cap. (as far as I can see)

This car is a 3.5 Efi auto. And most likely still running. My 1987 2.4 TD still does :-)

  • Good to see the ad from 87, the car however was probably a pile of iron oxide by 92!

  • This is a great sight to see. A Range Rover going off road, being driven to it's fullest ability, not being 'off road' in a Chelsea way, as in parked in a mews or drive off the King's Road! Marvelous to watch this though, a wholy British affair, British design, British engineering in a beautiful British landscape.

  • Spot on mate

  • Epic.

  • WTF!? First manual then automatic!

  • That first bit aint a manual gear stick it changes it from low to high range

  • Oh alright

  • Yes, they were changing the 4WD modes, Jeep Grand Cherokees have a similar layout

  • And a quick nip in past landrover centre on the way home for all the bits that got busted.........

  • Just shows how good they are

  • @greenwoodpeckerman thats how good they are climbing u momas ass

  • This must be a 1986. They changed the grill from vertical ... to horizontal ... in 1987

  • They were still making them in 1987

  • Stopped making them in 1993 or 4 when the P38 Range Rover came out.

  • @Olliewells212 They brought the P38 out in late 1995 and sold off all the classics in the dealers in 1996. After that the classic was never made again. Shame.

  • like it....love it and to end with just where the rangerover classic belongs above everything else marvelous!

  • lol this is from 1965. are you crazy!

  • 1965? Range Rovers not made then...? Please explain...

  • Sorry, Land Rover did even introduce the range rover concept until 1970, you must be confused with something else. But I cant help you with what year this as it from, obviously its quite old.

  • I have an 1975. i'll be making a video about her soon.

  • "they don't make 'em like this anymore"

  • yerp they make em better now ;)

  • lol

  • I think the Ford ownership has let quality down tbh.

Mind you British Leyland weren't exactly tops when it came to build quality.

  • Haha yea

  • A few years ago I got to "borrow" an '87 just like this for a day except it was silver. It was very alien to me(im American). The door frames were so skinny..it just seemed wierd(instrument panel) but it was cool to drive around town. But bad sagging headliner and smokey tailpipe

  • Sagging headliner and smokey tailpipe is normal.... British made after all.

I have an 88 V8 sat in the front garden at moment, starts first time all the time... even after some joker put diesel in the petrol tank...

  • Lol. Yea, really I do like Rovers. Especailly the P38 model.(late 90's early 00's) Some day I'd like to buy a used one to just play with. But I have a Grand Cherokee now, slightly smaller but no complaints I love it.

  • p38 are NOT landrovers But bmws

  • Yeah P38's are CRAP!!!

  • I agree. It looked a little too generic too, I think the styling of the classic stil looks great today, in a timeless sort of way

  • very beautiful.

  • I had one of these and my tank was always on half or less, the thirsty f**kers

  • My wife has a Volvo 240 Polar and I own a 1985 Range Rover 3.5 EFI...

    I don't remember that...

Fantastic: where did you get this video?

  • I actually have a 1989 3.5L V8 EFi which until recently hated the sight of water.

Condensation in the distributor cap caused by the rapid cooling effect of cold water splashing up inside the engine bay and onto the warm distributor cap would make it mis-fire.

  • Wouldn't want to ford that fast in a V8 !!!

  • Why? as long as the HT leads are in good condition there shouldnt be any problems.

The EFi RR would have dealt with it better, iteresting they kept swapping between an early Carb model and a later EFi model

  • thirsty and rusty.

  • Aluminium body panels...Duh!

Probably one the least likely vehicles to rust, after a plastic vette.

A Chevy small block is an easy (and common)fit but there is no reason why a GMC Diesel would not fit as well.

Buy a Suzuki Jimny, if you really want economy!

  • Very nice, i'll take thirty

  • old times, my first was from 1974, my last from 1981 till 2000.

  • this 4x4 can do anything.the landrovers are the best 4x4 always

  • I love my RR! Never given me a day of trouble. Great commercial.

  • they should refilm this with the Range Rover 2007. But i love it either way.

  • ...simply beautiful
