His father Go Hibiki was killed by Sagat, so he started training under Gouken to get his revenge. However Gouken expelled him from the Dojo once he learned that Dan was fighting for revenger. Dan then created the Saikyo-Ryu, a style he says it's superior to all martial styles, and created his own dojo, which currently have only one member... Himself. XD
