What the fuck happened to radiohead?? this was an amazing album as was the bends, ok computer was a masterpiece but everything else after that was complete drivel......
You know, for all the times people dismiss Radiohead as whiny and depressing, this has to be one of the most uplifting songs I've ever heard. When I listen to it I always feel so alive, like I'm on top of the world and nothing can stop me feeling the greatness.
@hiqwertyhi Not saying there is, after all I am a huge fan of the Manics, The Smiths and Joy Division, and I rate This Is Hardcore as Pulp's best album.
I'm just saying that some people think all of Radiohead's songs are dreary yet this one is hugely uplifting.
I like that most of Radiohead's songs are dark or deal with challenging subject matter. Because then, when you hear a Radiohead song like this, it's so much more uplifting.
The only reason you wouldn't like this album is because your Radiohead journey didn't begin with it. If you were there from the get-go, you more than appreciate it. I think some of their best stuff is on this rookie release.
I dont get why people say this is their worst album. Its not as innovative as their later albums, but its still great music, and some of the melodies are the best Radioheads ever written.
@AKgunplay Yeah, The Bends is a great album, except I haven't really listened to everyyy song on the album, so I don't know much about it. All I know is that Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry, Nice Dream and Street Spirit are beautifulllllllll songs. I love those songs, and I should listen to others from The Bends :P
dis album is not dat good so just listen to it if u want to or not but stop leaving stupid comments...i mean if u dnt like radiohead just fuk off and listen to justin biever or sumtin
This isn't the worst of Radiohead... in fact, Pablo Honey sounds kind of similar to the Bends, which I LOVED. Plus, the fact that it's their first album makes it even more impressive that it's so good.
I think most Radiohead fans bought The Bends And seen it as Radioheads First Album. It does have a more American Feel but there are some top tunes on there.
I'm so fucking in love with this goddamn song ! the end is so representative of the fucking confusion in someone's mind. I want to scream everytime I'm listening to it !
This album is looked down upon because it is where Radiohead was still emerging from a 'rock and roll' kind of image. It wasn't until after Ok Computer that the band formed into what we know as Radiohead today: confident music based upon a huge variety of different sounds and ideas.
From what I've heard of this album so far (I'm a bad Radiohead fan that took this long to hear Pablo Honey) this is the best track. I really like this song, bordering on love.
There is no true sound either, band delevops and so does the sound. If you don't really care for this album, it doesn't make you not a true fan. Just that they don't see it like you do.
WHAT???? it's great but it cant possibly be their best! sorry, just most people's opinions. The later albums have more complexity, more beauty, more rockin', more meaning, better lyrics and more!
Unlike other fans who dissed this album, I actually enjoyed it. I mean, all bands gotta start somewhere, right? Although, i prefer the US version of the song because it sounds more calmer and emotional. Pablo has to be one of my personal favorites.
This is the only Radiohead album I don't have, I've always been hesitant in getting primarily because the material here isn't noteworthy. I've heard a few tracks off the album. It's decent.

@Muskateering I actually think it sounds quite Stone Roses-esque, the guitars have that whole jangly, summery feel to them.
