  • R.I.P my ear drums

  • aroooooooogah

  • I have noticed through the years that the hydraulic sound is used when people are confronted with inhuman enemies such as robots or machines. I guess that sound now give the viewer the impression that they are dealing with a mindless enemy. an example is in a YunTube video , Sci Fi 1945 , the sound is used with a remote control machine gun.

  • Jesus stop it , ooh my head :P

  • AAAOOUGAH!

  • I was surprised, I heard this on Courage the Cowardly Dog episode "Klub Katz", although it was lower in pitch

  • @thebladezmanII

Nice find! That's the last place I'd expect to have heard it. As the episode was aired in 2000, that now makes it the most recent commercial usage of this particular sound. As for the pitch changes, I'm still divded on what the correct speed for it is, Main reason being is that back in the days of analogue video/audio, NTSC and PAL played at slightly different speeds. The difference in speed is usually around 5%.

  • @jamesuk9999 I know right? I've possibly heard a few other sounds, I know I've heard the car crash sound used in the Hannah Barbara masters in it too. Yeah, i'm aware of that issue. I myself think the higher version in this video sounds better!

  • Get to the fridge quick!

  • What the one in the film Aliens. When Ripley goes after Newt

  • Wargames 1983 when NORAD got a missile warning not a launch detection

  • @caron1974

Not quite. The one used in Wargames was from some submarine film in 1958 and probably countless other submarine warfare fillms. ;)

  • KAWOOOGA KAWOOOGA KAWOOOGA

  • The Ooga Klaxon is used in Casino Royale

  • @Dom737800

If your referring to the Klaxon used in the chase scene in Casino Royale (2006), I think you'll find that the video response above (German WW2 alarm) is the klaxon that was used in that. It sounds virtually identical.

  • This sound also shows us what you might say when you drop a hammer on your foot.

  • "You now have 5 minutes to reach minimum safe distance..."

  • Its good enough for my drama performance, thankyou!

  • Thats an aooga horn not a Klaxon

  • @DRNEGOLICIS look at the time frame...that time didnt have the many different sirens we do today. the aooga horn was used for multiple things...

  • @USASPD klauxon and ooga horn are the same thing but a klaxon used in in an alarm arplication normaly has a submarine klaxon type tone and ooga klaxons have a well known aooga sound
