  • What monitor is that? It looks nice

  • @walropodes It's an Apple Cinema Display 30"

  • Absolutely useful for Meshing for CFD applications. Meshing without this thing is cumbersome!

  • how would that work for gaming?

  • @aten747 No son, that is not for gaming since no mainstream comercial game recognizes the SpaceNavigator I should know I have one, it's intended for CAD and it shines at that.

  • What does this dude do for a living? what's shown on that scene it's worth than almost all the stuff on my house.

  • Does it work with google sketchup ?

    PLEASE RESPOND.

  • @drychalice Yes, it works.

  • i have this mouse

  • @i3bood What programs do you use it on ?

  • I can do it with 3axis joystick.

  • 100 bucks to move on google? Gota be joking lol

  • @Kiyamlol Google Earth is only an example. This mouse is quite useful for 3D CAD, BIM, and visualization programs like Max and Maya. You're talking about a huge productive increase working with modeling programs.

  • @whittendesigns that would be nice, I'm a 3d artist myself. It looks useful for 3d sculpting

  • Why would anyone spend 100 bucks to move around on google earth? I have no problem using the 'cumbersome keyboard and mouse' LOL been doing it for the past 15 years.

Now, for 3d work, I'd buy one.. but for navigating google??? hahaha... fuck off.. hahah LOL

  • @dangraphic Why would anyone buy a $1m supercar if your old ford can take you to the shops and back?

  • @OhFishyFish

You do make a point... but first, I also wouldn't buy an overpriced car even if I had that cash to spare.

How many people can eat with what fat bastards spend on their luxury cars?

My point, it's too damn expensive for a device that doesn't work in the spearhead for 3d modeling and sculpting, namely Zbrush.

  • @dangraphic Yeah, the program support list is lacking. It supports programs like Max, Maya, Photoshop, and motion builder. It doesn't support more specialized programs like Mudbox, Zbrush, After Effects, Nuke, Realflow, Boujou, Endorphin, etc. This means only a chunk of the process will be helped. This kind of device would really shine in programs like Zbrush that have odd controls. It would help streamline the process, but there's no support. Come on guys.

  • @dangraphic Nearly every major CAD software supports this device. The productivity increase in 3D CAD easily warrants a price double what they charge for it.

I'll bet you also wouldn't buy an R8 for $120k, but your house probably costs more than that. It doesn't matter what you spend your money on, the point is you spend it and people die from lack of food. I would never spend that much on a house, prices are too inflated, I'll build one for free. A car however, is an engineering masterpiece.

  • I totally need a mouse that is good for only one software.

  • I came here after reading the Microsoft patent of 3D desktop (Google it). How are we suposed to use it? :S

  • 3D people!

can you click? or is it supposed to be used in conjunction with a real mouse?

  • @PermianLaCube

It is meant to be used as well as a mouse, and is very good for exploring 3d models.

  • @PermianLaCube This is made as you have mouse in hand and this in the other one. There are 3 versions of this device to provide mobile one / midrange-one / with-LCD-one

  • WHATS DA PRICE FOR THAT GREAT DEVICE????!!!!! USDOLLARS OR CANADIAN

  • @LIANXPIERCE 90 dollars for this mobile version, there is also more functioanl SpacePilot Pro version that has many buttons.

  • Damn, what's with all the sourpusses? Too high and mighty to use Google Earth? Get a frickin' life, CAD users. ---Nice review, THANKS for posting. I'll be using this with Lightwave and Blender.

  • nice

  • nice video :)

i use this for video and AutoCAD and controlling CNC-Machine

  • For Google earth? What a waste :|

  • @arkv2 It works with SolidWorks and other 3D Interfaces not just google earth ;)

  • That stuff is for CAD and 3D modeling software, not some damn Google Earth. I'd kill myself if I spent for example $300 on SpaceExplorer 3D just to browse some lakes. Review is acceptable though, showing it's advantages clearly.

  • would it help me kick ass in Counter-Strike?!

  • @916pm I have this 3D Mouse and the answer is no. It does not work in Counter Strike.

  • @916pm i'm thinking no

  • first
