My landing gear is over 61 years old now and I am self employed for the past 27+ years so I am self insured (no health insurance). So guess I better not consider this hobby until I am reincarnated n have newer landing gear. :)
@UTubeGlennAR If you get WPPGA certified equipment and training then you are less likely to get injured in this sport than you are doing most other hobbies. In fact zero people have ever died on WPPGA certified equipment and only 1 single pilot has ever been injured and that was a Red Bull pilot doing some insane things. So if you don't fly like a Red Bull pilot then your odds of getting seriously injured or killed right now are currently zero.
Hey Dell, I'm a sport pilot WSC and am considering getting in to PPG next year (if I can stay working that is.. heh.) I've watched many of Byron's videos and he is from Bend, Oregon as am I. Are there any instructors around here or would travel be in order? Also, what could one expect as far as length of time to solo? 3 days, 15 days, etc.. And before starting training would I need to buy my own equipment? You're videos make this sport very attractive.
@rsumner1b Hi, yes this sport is a total blast, training takes about a week to do it right. Give me a call anytime if you like and I can tell you all the details you need. Thanks, Dell 800-707-2525
@MrWeedmaster777 Either is fine, the key is the right instructor. Give me a call at 800-707-2525 in the US and I can help link you up with someone that is seriously awesome. Thanks, Dell

While I'm waiting for spring to revolve again, might you have any suggested reading materials for my winter hibernation?
