I worked with Kim for over a decade. I knew him long before his Rainman days. He was a wonderful man and extremely funny, but he spoke in predicates, so you had to "draw out of him" what the subject was... it was interesting to speak with him on virtually any subject, and he was an amazing friend of mine. God blessed me when he brought Kim into my life.

When I saw Rain Man, first time earlier this year, I cried. Now knowing about the inspiration behind it, Kim Peek, I am moved. May his soul rest in peace. I salute his parents and more so his father for the unconditional love and attention they gave him instead of shunting him off to an institution. May God bless them.

After seeing his character, the relationship between him and his father and the phenomenon that he was I read the comments to find that such a wonder had passed away.
I thought to myself before I knew this that the death of a marvel such as Kim would be heartfelt , and I did feel it.

haha, I noticed something that he got wrong btw, he was 1 game off with that grover cleveland alexander answer, he pitched in games 2 and 6, some guy named haines was the pitcher in the 3rd game.. I guess no human can be as smart as google lol

In later parts his Dad says, he reads a page in about 8seconds, which would take any of us 3mins or more, and gets 98% of the information.
