  • Hi!

I had a hand wired JTM45, and let me tell you: It sucked ass! It was one of these amps that may lead some people to think of Marshall amps as one trick ponies (which they aren't). Then I stumble upon the 1987 reissues of 1989... and it's sheer awesomeness! Seems they did something right when they brought out these first reissues (don't like the new ones tho).

  • @fenixlespaulcustom To avoid confusion: I meant Amp Model 1987 (50 Watt Plexi/Mk II), made in 1988 / 1989

  • My all time favorite guitar tone. Angus Young was the reason I picked up a guitar.

  • @WorldsJungleGym Ditto on the whole comment! lol xD Guess it's pretty much obvious in this vid what I was basing it on. Although I actually don't listen to them that much anymore, but I think it's always a good thing to remember your roots and stuff that inspired you musically.

  • Nice sounds! What type of power valves are in there?

  • @lfscrazy Just the stock type in this amp, Sovtek 5881's. Always wanted to try out KT-66's but the whole bias-thing seems so tricky, so I decided to discard the idea.

  • this is the sound

  • pretty good mate... what settings did you on the amp???

  • @dirtyTony666 (sorry for late reply, never bothered with signing in for a long time)

IIRC, settings were Presence 0 / Bass 0 / Mid 9-10 / Treble 10 - Using bright channel with volume pretty much maxed out, and that's it. Pretty radical settings I know, but that was what worked for me anyway
