Your right ball room is very sharp and mechanical. But I'm puertorican and salsa is known to us since we can walk and this here is there interpretation of what they think salsa should be danced like. It's ok I seen better.
Meyn! How many more times must I see a Puerto Rican act as though he/she is an automatic expert and authoritative voice on how to dance Salsa. Salsa is just what it is...a mixture and blend of ingredients..Afrocentric rhythms and beats mixed with a dash of criolla and caribeno story lines...Chased by the ever presence of European/Espanoles con gandules (lol). Sprinkled here and there with the exotic spices of Asia and Asia Pacific...
You right I'm not the authority on dancing salsa dancing and I never said I was. But I was only commenting in my humble opinion that it was a little toooo flamboyant to be called salsa and it looked more like what you see in ballroom. I mean the fact that in almost every gathering is the center of our entertainment and we are taught to dance salsa since we can walk has nothing to do with my opinion. That was all, I didn't mean to ruffle nobodys feathers "K" peace. ^_^
you apparently don't go out much (salsa dancing that is). That is nightclub salsa not ballroom dancing. I agree that it isn't the salsa that you might dance en casa con la familia as cute and the center of entertainment unless you start knocking stuff over dancing on the carpet in the living room of your studio apartment emborrachao and loco de frente 100 familiares....thats funny stuff....oops! but I digress...
LOL, fine your right they still dance good "NIGHTCLUB" salsa. Is funny I didn't think salsa had so many categories. I've must have missed something. ;-)
that's not ballroom, that's club salsa that is very spontaneous and not-scripted..they have a few dips but it matches the music. Ball room is mechanical and sharp, they are far from that

They dance very well but that's ballroom not salsa but i guess everyone has there own way of interpreting the dance. is cool.
