@jpilot101 Not True. Where do you get your info? When able, most pilots will always come in on the ILS, or use it for guidance. Even in VFR conditions.
@jpilot101 Thank you for that information. That was my son posting before. I don't come here very often and he ask me a lot of question that he post on this site. I have never been to Australia, love to go. As a retired 747-400 driver and over 40y of flying behind me I often wonder why I never made it down south. Wish you a lot of happy flying down south and my daughter is flying into New Zeeland in a few week.
Who says? Doing an ILS approach doesnt matter on the weather. Its the crews desicion. It also depends on the runway whether it is equip with an ILS system.
no it isn't a MD11 on the video, but it's not writen it's a MD11. I can also say : it's not an A320 ! these are the GPWS of boeing, so mayby a 737 or smaller aircraft.
I think this is not an MD-11 because the GPWS (5,4,3,2,1) Would be the sound of a Girl voice. Its not a MD-11, probably a 737 or some other boeing airplane.
By the way, very beautiful landing. Very Smooth!!! 5*
Yes, it is no MD11. If you read the Information about the video you will see, that he wrote: ,,On the left you can see an Eva Air MD11 awaiting lining up clearance...''
ils is sometimes leisure, when pilots r really tired to do it manually

@201andrew as the title says, it's an ILS approach onyl. So they maybe didn't use the autopilot and landed manually :)

They always use ILS you idiot. Only at airports that dont have VOR
geover330 2 years ago
@geover330 Are you flight simulator pilot or something because us pilots only use ILS when necessary. Otherwise Rnav or visual approaches are made.

@CaptainArt777 In Australia only major airports have ils facilities, hence why VFR pilots mainly use visual approaches low visibility conditions.

That is a 737 I think. Yes you're right, MD-11s do have woman voices. I figured out it's a 737 because of the wipers.
