did you have any issues with the ecm, the intake flow cools down the computers, and i read that you cant use an aftermarket intake without burning it out

Are you kidding? The 3.3's and 3.8's (same engine basically) last forever. And I hope you know that by doing this mod, you have robbed your engine computer of it's cooling air...

i got a 93 dynasty 3.3 297 000 kms same motor and tranny been through hell and back and still runs great

ah the CAI! a very good mod. helps that engine BREATHE! and from reading your description you say a cherry bomb is on the way. Thats a good idea for a muffler too. because glasspacks are just a straight pipe with little amount of sound muffling metel mesh. No restrictions!

guys do NOT do this! it turns out the computer is beneath the airbox and will eventully fry because there is no air being pulled through it! TAKE MY WORD FOR IT

That's not true, people run these cars all the time without the intake connected to the computer without trouble, even in the desert. These are old cars with ancient electronics, when a computer dies its usually because its old more than anything else IMHO.

yeah ive replaced the computer two more times since this happened but im sure not having air run through the heat sinks doesnt help.
