This list is for endangered species !! humans are the opposite of "endangered", they have a population explosion ! humans are the ones causing this. they are killing off all the wild natural places where animals live. that is one of the reasons that these animals are going extinct. There are just more and more humans. It is very bad for the planet and also bad for us living here to be so overpopulated.

fascinating. It's too bad so many species are threatened. I remember we used to see a special species of butterfly in santa monica on the sides of a parking lot. There were hills on the sides of this area and the native plant that was growing there was "plantain" and it was the food plant of these butterfly's caterpillars. Now they have covered this area with concrete and all the butterflies and the foodplant are gone. that particular area of their habitat is now destroyed.

The endangered list was relevant right up to the point when it was politicized. Now there are species on the endangered last that aren't numerically endangered but were put there because some examples of the species make their homes in places the rabid wacko environmentalists want to prevent oil drilling. Now the endangered list isn't relevant at all if you really care about hard science.
