  • LOL ANORMAL!

  • the tree got RAPED!

  • that heli was having collective problems before it landed as you can see the blades were loaded but no pitch, on landing, look at the vid just before landing one of the blades was not in sink so maby a pitch link departed and the cycle movements allso were very erratic, were as normaly would be in the , dick back position ,just before touch down

  • What was that Crap at the beginning of the video? what a joke.

  • The people should been told to lie down me thinks, and why did the pilot take so long in cut the fuel to the turbine? maybe a control problem. Great clip-no injuries.

  • mmmm a pretty expansive lumberjack...that's a chopping chopper!

  • mmmm a pretty expansive lumberjack...

  • "Ok, everything's under control. That' normal." Ha ha ha ha! Why do announcers always need to say something like that. Any idiot can see that when the rotors are braked the are going to drop and impact the newly created stump. More like, "Get the F@#$ outta the way! Run!"

    Fail.

  • again another tree wastet for stupid goals

  • looks like a bit of ground resonance happening after touchdown

  • I think the UH-60 pilot should be a lumberjack, not a pilot

  • this has got to be the worst helicopter landing in the history of helicopter landings

  • that's one way to cut a tree down...

from the second angle you could see the pilot brought the copter in too fast and too steep of a flare, it was as if the landing zone was further in front and not in that field. thank God the rotors didn't break off and go flying

  • Looks like they need to re balance the blades....lol

  • you know what they say if you want a job done fast get a blackhawk to do it

  • Gotta love cowboy pilots. Military's finest!!! They talk bad about Robbie pilots! Losers!

  • In any case the pilot did a heluva job getting that bird and its crew safely on the ground without injuring or killing any body on the gound. If you live near an air base you might see helo's drilling this manuever. The reason it dropped out of the air at the end may have been caused by "power settling". Thats a little harder to explain. Some one else go for it.

  • That is called an "Auto rotation landing". It is necessary when a heli has an emergency... ie power failure, gear case failure, etc... Wether it was a demo or an actual emergency landing is unknown.

  • around 1:01 there was a cloud or puff of material at the tail rotor. Slim chance but maybe contact with the tail rotor and main rotor blades or delamination of one of the tail rotor paddles.

  • at 0:54 the announcer says "Thats normal" . I assure you sir, rotor blades coming apart like that is not normal

  • @slednecks17 lol thats normal. NORMAL well general were not buying that piece of crap!! haha. youre so right NOT NORMAL!

  • worlds most expensive chainsaw

  • a quite expensive logging technique.

  • this is a amateur!

  • Let's haul back to the flightline for repair

  • looks like the pilot was trying to flare to show off and got into vrs.

  • Agreed.

  • ''they were lucky too land''......there main rotor [on top of helicopter] went of balance ''it seems'' and cause the helicopter un-flyable....you will notice that when he landed, the whole helicopter was off balance....no even sound and equallity in the stance.......those pilots were probally shitting bricks ,while the crowd were clapping....thank god they landed safely.

  • a new logging technique!!!!!!

  • at about 20 seconds it sounds like it is going ho ho ho ho ho ho

  • thats badazz having sex in a chopper while cutting down trees at the same time. heres some advice; hire beaners next time and get a room.

  • wow did he actually say thats normal?? wow.

  • people around got really lucky on that day !

  • Well built? Nah, it was just plain lucky it didn't go over. If any one of those rotors had disconnected...

  • That is proof that some Americans don't use common sense. (No offense to the average American)

  • so thats how Americans cut down the trees...

  • rofl!!

  • It almost looked like he did a quick stop with a high rate of descent. What was he thinking? Definitely got caught in his own down wash with that power setting, descent rate, and almost no airspeed.

  • Ring vortex incident?

It's always fun to real life test crash worthy seats.

  • lol fucking sweet. and the term would be discharged seeing how it was a millitary pilot. as for the balls comment below...yes. yes it would.

  • "That's normal"...LOL

  • Rotor stall ?

  • Bravi.......

  • wow that's for sure the fastest way to cut a tree

  • Fired

  • tax payers money gone with the wind :)

  • Anyone else hear the announcer say "that's normal" ??? lol

  • that will cut your balls off

  • pendejo

  • lol did he say, "that's normal" at :54? wow...

  • thats a multi-million dollar chainsaw right there boys.

  • its an accident not an American thing, it is so easy to hate...so easy eh? El easio to hateoh

  • Tree 5 to Mother Nature, we are losing men!!

  • tree 0 : helicopter 1

  • thats crazy

    what exactly happened here?

  • It looks like they came in too fast and tried to set it down too rapidly and when the rotors hit that tree it seriously damaged the blades. You can see the whole helicopter wobbling about because the blades struck the tree's branches and threw the balance out of whack because the blades were damaged by the obstacle and eventually they broke in two.

  • Setteling with power, good thing close to the ground
