The school has been open for ten years, and I was there for all of them(It was both elementary and middle school). It was sad for me to leave, but I'll go back. First time I heard this song was with our city of 40 other guys after 10 days at Buckeye Boys State. Our last night there we had all of us crammed into the bathrooms after lights out and our leader played this. One of the saddest moments. Cause its just like the lyrics said, not one of us was from the same area and odds were good we would never see each other again, but we were all changed after that week. I still think about those guys and this song just brings me right back every time.

You misunderstand the point of my comment. I love this song. And I am actually in the process of learning both piano and vocal parts to sing to the person that I love. I have no problem with a person wanting to dedicate it to someone. But why on here? This song was sang at my graduation... I'm so glad I learned it before. I honestly didn't know the meaning of it until I met my my best friend. She has shown me so much that, now, every time I hear or sing this song she pops into my head. Honestly, tears start to form. She has changed my life.
