  • This is a serious condition. Thank you for straightforward, informative video. It is surprising how many people are not aware of this condition. Worse yet, there is still no known cause!

  • i use strong pain killers since i didnrt know abt it till today.. thank u for this video.. it was very informative to me!

    kindest regards

  • im a sufferer of RLS and im only 21 :(

  • it feels a lot better if you tie something around your feet esp something elastic like socks. My tingling is worst in the soles of my feet and the tip of my toes.

  • I really wish it WAS fake, but I'd had it on-off for years. It feels like someone is grabbing at your legs and pulling them, and you have to kick them off to stop the pulling feeling. It's maddening! It;s 3AM and I'm up right now thanks to a bout of it. I appreciate it sounds pretty silly, but I promise you it's very real.

  • fuck RLS

  • I am now 30 and have seriously had RLS since I was 3, although I didnt call it that at the time. This is VERY real and makes sleep almost impossible. My symptoms have def worsened with age and I've tried Requip in the past and while it worked, I couldnt tolerate the side effects. Im now on 1 mg clonazepam at bedtime and its working ok, just worried about getting hooked. For RLS, I would def avoid any antihistamines or alcohol. Just makes it worse.

  • @Laura21701 what are the side effects? i do hot baths to cure

  • @MustangGTR2 severe nausea-like I would be up an hour or two after taking it throwing up, also orthostatic hypotension. Basically where your blood pressure drops after standing or sitting quickly after you have been lying down for a long period. With that you also get nausea, cold sweats, dizziness, tunnel vision, and sometimes fainting. I actually did go down a few times, thank God my bed was behind me :)

  • @Laura21701 damn !!! that sucks, there has to be something better

  • @MustangGTR2 The clonazepam is most def better side effect wise but it doesn't always totally relieve my symptoms. Plus its a benzo (brand name is Klonopin-in the same family as valium, etc) so there's the worry of dependence. The FDA just approved a new medicine for it called Horizant, which is basically an extended release version of Neurontin that I think might be what I try next.

  • i don't think i have RLS but i alwise feel i have the need to be moving my legs them like, leg shaking rubing ect. i dont know whats wrong

  • I suffer from RLS and these medications are very effective: Small doses of low potency opioids such as Tramadol, Dopamine agonists such as Cabergoline or GABA like drugs such as neurontin or lyrica. Stay clear of anti-histamines they tend to make rls worse. I would stick to the dopamine agonists since the above mentioned can lead to dependency issues.

  • I take an antidepressant that is SSNRI and have a family history of RLS////

Both seratonin reuptake inhibitors and my history have combined to give me 5 years of three years of non sleeping due to a feeling like crawling inside my lower calf....i could not get rid of it..no matter how much I rubbed it. Finally after even klonipan didnt work....i was given requip. I now can sleep with SIX milligrams of it. but I can sleep

and ask my husband....its not only a neurological thing....i kick...

  • is this where you have to like bend your joints or something

  • She was right about 2,3, and 4.as I write this it's 2 in the morning. The school let me tell you s-t-u-p-I-d. I get 4-3 hours of sleep, cause of this I always look upset, or angry they called me down to guidance cause they thought I was depressed, and some ass made up a roumor that I was emo. So now people point and laugh at me every day. -_- i swear people should just go to hell.

  • @StephanieGravelx I completely understand it the fucking worst feeling and i get it in my legs and arms.

  • My legs shake at night sometimes when I just wake up for a brief sleep. But I don't think i have RLS since I don't meet the criteria that she stated. So what do I have!?!?

  • i have RLS in my right arm but i don't want to c a doctor as i don't want to have a blood test

  • I've just learned of this after asking about it.

It almost feels as if I have a tickling feeling in my calves.

    D:

Not a fun feeling at all.

  • My legs get all tingly. Like something is crawling on them. :/

  • i think i might have it and im only 14! :(

its no so painful or bad, nowhere near as bad as described in the vid, but in bed i have to constantly stretch my legs cuz they "itch" i duno how to explain it

  • Requip has been a minor miracle for me!

  • @sassyjohnson I've been on Requip and so far haven't gotten significant relief. Maybe with higher doses.

  • @ReviewCam I take 1mg 2X a day. one in the afternoon and one an hour before bed.

  • @sassyjohnson Right now I take .25mg in the morning, .25 mg is the late afternoon, and three .25 mg tablets at night for a total of 1.25 mg a day. The neurologist says I am on a low dose, so maybe if it's increased I'll do better.

  • @ReviewCam and don't forget there is also Mirapax too. I am curious is your RLS familial? Mine is familial, many of my father's family have it but I also have MS which has seemed to aggravate the RLS.

  • @sassyjohnson is it genetic? my father has it, but I don't get it nearly as much. I only feel the crawling if I am exhausted after a day though.

  • @hellzbomber Yes, it can be genetic. I hope yours stays mild! I have multiple sclerosis and they think the RLS has been worsened by that.

  • i have it all over my body

  • Magnesium Glycinate is the Natural Cure for RLS it has helped my out Tremendously!

  • so im 15 yrs old and i think i have RLS. but i dont have a tingly feeling in my legs its just like i have to move them. i can feel it in the back of my knee like its the tenden or somthing. but i need to stretch the tenden and it fixes it temporarily

  • @suckduck1 I have no tingles just the constant need to move my legs, even with meds I wear the bottom of the sheets out from moving my legs at night.

  • o noh so am i..

  • I have RLS and it is the most obnoxious tingling feeling in my legs EVER. It's so annoying, I get probably 2 hours of sleep every night because of it. It's literally driving me crazy from lack of sleep...I just wish my fucking legs would fall off already so i can sleep more than 2 hours a fucking night !!!!!!!

  • Stephaine i know the feeling i usually get about 3-4 hrs or less sleep you can feel it affects you more and more as time goes the lack of sleep gets to me the leg burning and other weird feelings u can live with but lack of sleep hits me hardest. Twitching always get rid of it

  • @StephanieGravelx The only thing that helped me before I got a Tegretol was sleeping with an electric back messager on my legs. The vibration kept the leg muscles "moving" while I slept.

  • @StephanieGravelx i know how u feel i have it in my arms and its soo sleep depriving.

  • o i thought this was a thing when u move ur legs all day long uncontrolble like i do i allways do it wen watching tv or playing video games or in class i take allllllllot of time to get comfe anything wrong with me?

  • i was a lorecett pill takin machine, takin four at once about twice a day. i am now jumpin ship on lorecett's and im having a really strong sense of RLS, and RBS restless body syndrome if known. please i need a scheduled sleep and im soo tired

  • its keeping me awake right now

  • I got this... NOT COOL.

I have knee problems, and my rls seems to appear more when my knee is sore.

  • Magnesium Glycinate is the Natural Cure for RLS it has helped my out Tremendously!

  • I assure you, RLS is quite real. But the same naysayers of RLS here, are probably those who also make light of those with clinical depression.

    Such small minds.

  • For you folks who think you are being funny, I can assure you that you are not.

as someone else said RLS is not bullshit.

I run enough support groups to know that it is very real.

  • @sammie416 Yep. It sure is! Most people think we're just nervous and can't sit still. It's the godawful sensation in the legs that's only relieved for seconds that causes us to move about. The sleep deprivation makes it all the worse.

  • this is funny, I have all the symptoms but dont have the RLS, neither Diabetes(just tested yesterday) :D

  • i think i have restless penis syndrome.

  • omg me too!

  • everyone has this

  • I've had this at times, but it may have been from emotional stress (marriage breakup). I thought it was from coffee, but I still drink coffee and don't suffer from it now.

  • nice socks!

  • lol, i have RLS

  • DIABEETUS!!!

  • OH FUCK I HAVE THIS IM GOIGN TO DIE

  • lol this disease is serious business

  • the begining of the video, is that harold from harold and kumar?

  • Just another drummed up so called disorder by the pharmacy pill makers.Whats next? Scratching the arm syndrome.Anything to sell a pill.Acid reflux is another one.Just stop eating acidic foods before you go to bed.I used to get it and just wrote down what i ate on the nights i got it and what did i eat on the nites i did not get it.Gee Rocket science.

  • yea no kidding. this is the most bullshit disorder. how about go do some exercise during the day then you wont have all that energy stored up

  • first inform yourself, before giving stupid advice. Exercise can make it worse.

  • @fingerkalis ugh, I don't know why I bother with fools but it isn't because we haven't done enough, it is worse when we have done too much! It is not stored up energy fool. I usually don't wish RLS on my worst enemy but idiots like you should get it!

  • Haha, this made me laugh.

  • Restless Leg Syndrome is real. its just that all of you guys are lucky to be in the 99% of the majority who doesn't have it. It makes me mad just reading what you all put. Its a horrible thing to have when its serious. HORRIBLE! Ive done everything but go to the doctor to try and get rid of it. Some things help, but for me RLS has always been there. I guess from your point of view something called restless leg syndrome seems ridiculous, I guess I can understand that, but its not funny for me

  • Imagine every time you have to stand up still you have to have at least one leg constantly bouncing up and down, or every time you have to sit down you have to keep moving your legs to the sides. I also have insomnia, probably because my legs wont stop moving when I lie down. AND when you DONT move your legs you feel like something is inside of you moving around your insides (think of the movie alien). RLS isint bullshit.

  • Anyways, now that you know its real, try to imagine how horrible it would be to have. I dare you to go one day constantly moving your legs.

  • @koolbossjock what a jerk! and if it is drummed up could you tell me why I have suffered from it for years, before they ever had a name for it, got the strange looks from the doctors that had not a clue! Spent many nights with no sleep, have worn the bottom of 100s of sheets! So? what is your explanation for that $@$@$! And what would you say to do for RLS since you know exactly what to do about acid reflux?
