Especially when you're a young teenager, it's all about playing faster and faster and to have these guys (and obviously any doom band that came before) come out and turn people onto the religion of slow is something else really. I remember when I truly discovered that the spaces in between the notes or the notes you DON'T play are just as important as the ones you do play...it was earth shattering.

A lot of people didn't (and still don't ) get what doom metal and these bands are all about. People don't get that to play as slow as they did, it took so much balls!

I saw cathedral at the trocadero in Philly on that 1992 Grindcrusher tour...they were the best band on the bill, PERIOD.

I saw Cathedral with Brutal Truth, Entombed and Napalm around 92- people didnt get what Cathedral were doing, but I did! What a show!!!

low and slow as we used to say..........super grind dirge core...We saw Cathedral the first time they came to Hollywood and the people in the audience just didn't "get it" , was awesome to see the preplexed looks on their faces.
