I think they ripped off my 11th grade music teacher too because he loved to use horns with guitar. Apparently, they also ripped off Billy Joel because the singer used a similar lyrical style to some of his stuff. While I am thinking of it I think most musicians have been ripping off some aspect of something since forever since they didn't really invent music anyway. What about people who use the same notes as other musicians? Really, the whole industry is nothing but a bunch of rip off artists!
Horns in rock music is fucking amazing and underrated. Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, the Beatles, even Johnny Cash used horns in their music all to great effect. I think it's something most artists could take advantage of but never do.
yea you right, i mean you gotta think tho because bands/musicians are influenced from those that came before them, same thing with comedians they use other comedians bits but with some varriation
Dude, you're forgetting that sarcasm goes right over people's heads on here :) I'm personally intending copyrighting the key ofC at some point to stop those buggers in Cake copying me.
The Lead singer sounds just like Billy Joel. Do yourself a favor and listen to some of the old Albums by Joel. 52nd Street and Glasshouses. It's undeniable.
It really was. I mean i think Zac Efron is stupid in everything else he does, but he was really funny in this movie, Like it actually made me hate him a little bit less. And everyone else was really funny too, especialy the weird friend!
its in alot of movies including cloverfield lol and pobablly others i dont know about and `7 again while it had zac efron or whatever that faggots name is which ruined it it had matthew perry which made the movie great so it evened out in my book
@indorvoyciz I imagine it doesn't piss off the band to get their music out to a market that might not have otherwise had the chance to hear and appreciate it. Not that I'm rushing out to grab the soundtrack or the movie, just food for thought.
@seanevanmusic exactly; people shouldn't be upset that this song was in a movie with zac efron, they should applaud the person who picked the music for the movie for their excellent taste.
i love this band so much!!! my cousin went to college with the lead singer so they go to some of their concerts!! and im ezxcited because i might get to meet them soon.
Hey spoons have you ever thought about dedicating this song to the middleman that lets humans die? The great American healthcare insurance companies! We need real change and this song hits the heart of the Americans that fight for them. It could be there wakeup call! The middleman is not needed. They just want as much money as they can grab. They need to fear the underdog! They need to change before they do not survive! Peace and love to the human race!
17 Again wasn't even that bad either, lol. Hate to say it.

Ripped off Billy Joel? Do you listen to a lot of music or just post stuff on youtube to make yourself look stupid?
